Should the Cenobites' chain instantly break if the player walks around the wall or if another player walks through it. Me personally I think it should not break if they go around the corner or if another survivor runs through it for them. Like its an inter-denominational being's hook that literally torn an ANGEL apart in the movie and yet it can't handle a wall or another survivor walking through it. I think it should be like gunslinger's chain gun, where walls and other survivors don't matter that much, also gunslinger can move and aim and shoot his, so why not make the cenobites to that too. IMO its got more of an excuse to do that since its an inter-dimensional being's ability. Also if you are going to argue about the chain hunt that is BS cause the survivors can see where the box is and even if they start to open it, it cancels the hunt making it start all over to where the hunt/world of pain is also useless. IDK the killer's ability just seems underwhelming compared to gunslinger and I figure why not make this a different play style than the gunslinger, like the cannibal is to the hillbilly.

I'd be fine with them breaking on environment if the replacement chains that it spawned weren't trivially easy to dodge and had a small amount of turning that would automatically track the survivor so it would take a sharper angle to dodge them.

Pinheads biggest issue right now is probably that. No reason for it to be in the game at all, it makes his power complete garbage.

Chains should become inactive until a straight-line link between the survivor and portal can be re-established. This would make it to where the chain will still have an effect if not yanked off, but still have it be less useful in tight spaces.

I’m confused about the wording of the question. You asked if Pinhead’s chain should instantly break when certain criteria is met, but you’re answers are “yes, make the chain doesn’t break” and “no, make the chain break when it collided with survivors or walls.”

Another option is to allow it to break, but keep spawning one chain until it hits that survivor. Not sure if it already does that tho.
