SBMMR and meta perks and SWFs

Think there should be something in game that can tell if it's a swf because it seems like you get one hook and lose like 3gens. It nearly feels like the game is forcing you to use meta builds like ruin undying just to slow game down but I want to use other builds and not get gen slammed.
