Last challenge in Tome IV for survivor is bugged

The challenge known as "THE ENGINEER'S GUILD" in Tome IV, Page IV right before you reach the end of the Tome is bugged. No progress is added to it no matter what you do.
If cooperative action is performed and the gen is not completed, no progress is added to the challenge.
If cooperative action is performed and the gen is completed together, no progress is added to the challenge.
If cooperative action is performed uninterrupted from start to finish, no progress is added to the challenge.
I ran out of ideas after trying those three variables. Nothing I did made a dent on the challenge. I still have 0 progress on it. I tried re-selecting the challenge. I tried restarting my game. I tried completing a different challenge and then switching back to it. Nothing helped.
