If Côté left DBD...
Just a random thought.
Recently, one individual named Louis McLean left DBD and Behaviour, and since he was a bit famous I started thinking.
What would You guys do, if certain Mathieu Côté
decided, out of the blue, to leave our community as well?
Would You continue gaming as usual, or would DBD no longer be the same ever again?

DbD wouldn't be the same, just like it's not the same without McLean and wouldn't be the same without any other dev, but I'd still play it.

it would feel bad losing the face of the game. Plus no more funny “we did a pretty good job so far” meme

Dbd wouldn't be the same without Cote, same thing with any dev, just think about it, McLean made blight, that is his last killer on dbd, no one but him came with it.
I would still play dbd but we all know it wouldn't be the same.

if he leaves..... no more Pretty good Job so far.... and I would be devastated, for sure. He is the Face of Dead by Daylight

Because i've only played the game for about 4 months it wouldn't feel much different for me, so i'd continue playing.
Jeff Kaplan left the overwatch team abruptly this year (he has been the director of the game since before it released) which was a bit devastating to me, but i still really like the game. At the end of the day these are just people doing their jobs. People leaving the dev team doesn't mean the game is suddenly corrupt.

McLean and Cote are my favorite devs so seeing both leave would really make me upset.

Although the guy seems alright on the videos they make, I don't know him personally. Therefore it would make no difference to me.
They may actually end up with a team who listen to the community and balance the game properly if it ended up with an entirely new team. Greed has set in with this one unfortunately and, as long as the game keeps rolling in the cash, the players are just fodder to them now and I personally don't feel valued as a player anymore.

It would not be the same but I would still play the game. Still I would miss him.
The question is how the game would evolve without him there and that is pretty unpredictable. Warcraft had the issue with the writers all quitting one after the other and it was a pain that ruined Sylvanas. Other games came of far better even when certain people left them.
I play the game for the game and not realy for the people who made that game as long as the company is descent.

Ghostcrawler leaving wow was great. Feel sorry for league though. Mr tanks dont belong in pvp.

I'll email him to go get a job at firaxis games. He can play Civilization all he wants there.

I'd say he did a pretty good job.
I have problems with BHVR's decision making and so on but Mcote is a treasure.

McCote just needs to stop cursing the game with his words. He's gotta clean a Hex or something.
He did make Naughty Bear though, so I could never hate him for that.

If Cote left, nothing of particular value would be lost as far as the game goes and I'd wish him well on his next endeavour, hopefully in a different role in the same field.
He's a game director who doesn't direct the game, and has settled into the producer role more handily: his unquestioned passion would be better suited to committing to that seat.

I usually feel like games have more to do with lots of different teams coming together to make the product, so I wouldn't worry if an individual left.

Say what you will, but I admire his unafraid, and unapologetic demeanor on stream. He truly is the moment.

Cote isnt allowed to leave dbd. Ever.
But if he did i would hope theyd give us a Cote cosmetic or character so he can always be in the game in spirit 🥰❤️❤️

Honestly I dunno man, I'd be just as sad as when McLean left BHVR, but I'd just hope that his future will be bright, just as I hoped for McLean.
I'd still play DBD, but if it goes downhill... yeah I'd still play it if it's playable, unless I get bored.

Her wife Patricia left the team too, i don't know what's going on but definitely something is happening at bhvr

I personally wouldn't care.
The only thing I even know about the devs directly is the ironic comedy they bring with the instant flashlight massacre video, the "play civ6" idiocy and the "pretty good job so far" meme.

They will keep saying it.We did a pretty good job so far now disney will rule the game and next killer gonna be mickey mouse.
