The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Devs, play with players.

I don't know if the devs already do this but I don't think they do so here goes.

Instead of testing things in house, playing with the other devs, play the games with the actual paying player base both in ptb and random occasions throughout the year.

You will get to see survivors and killers who know exactly how to play the game and look at balancing issues.

You will get a better look at strengths and weaknesses of perks and add ons.

You will see exactly how fast gen speeds can go and how reliant slowdown perks are, especially now you're saying you don't want players to have to rely on certain perks.

You are more likely to come across the bugs that us players have to face and prioritise them better in order to be fixed.

You will see, as survivor, how camping and slugging is extremely boring for the survivor/s affected. This may push you into doing something that hopefully cannot be abused.

Start with fresh profiles and look at the grind, how many bp are gained per match and how many matches are needed to fully get all perks.

There are many good reasons for playing with the community instead of in house but the post would stretch into too many pages. Obviously you cannot test new chapters being worked with us, in the ptb and live games though please take a look exactly what the players deal with. I'm not saying take time out from developing the game, just trade in house games to community games.

What else do you think the devs could learn by doing this that I have not posted here?
