Simultaneous chain hunt + possessed chain = no hit

Plenty has been said about the near worthless possessed chain on Pinhead, but my most recent game where a survivor was both in a chainhunt and I hit on the Possessed Chain SIMULTANEOUS they STILL broke all the chains and continued the loop. It's near pointless.

Even the chain hunt often does nothing - I have gone on entire chases without a hunt chain connecting. Yes, sometimes it helps. But sending a PC is clearly a waste in 99 percent of scenarios. What am I missing?

He's a killer who's heavily reliant on one or two strong add-ons, more so than even pre-buff Wraith. If you had the Impaling Wire that makes another chain spawn when the survivor breaks one on the environment, you would have caught them. Other than that, there's nothing that would have actually helped you get them in chase except maybe the Greasy Black Lens IF they were at and indoor/high wall loop and you were able to mindgame them. The devs could have been so much more creative with his add-ons, but no, they have to add crap like "increased casting range" and "increased travel distance" of the possessed chain, which does nothing.

I mean, they either broke on the environment or you were really far. It is basically a free hit under normal circumstances.

I was on the opposite side of the wall of an L loop. Not far. By the time I moved around they were already free and looping again.

It only works on the really small unsafe loops. Anything slightly larger like the hay bale loops on coldwind will take to long to get around and the survivor will make you break your own chains to get to them.
