Make Franklin's Demise a hex perk.
NOED is a heavily complained about perk in DBD, however, I don't mind NOED nearly as much as I do Franklin's Demise, as NOED is preventable. Franklin's Demise expects you to not get hit at all so you don't lose your item, what the actual hell? You're gonna inevitably get hit. While you can drop your item before getting hit to avoid this happening, as it only gets destroyed if Franklin's makes you drop it, you'll have to keep going back to get it and still likely be unable to use it.
You might say Franklin's is the only counter to keys, while this is true, it's a very bad counter as Survivors can just stash their key somewhere until they need it for the hatch. This can be done with other items too, but then you won't be able to use them, keys are different as they're one use items. Keys should be addressed in a different way.
Franklin's Demise should be a hex perk, and perhaps add an additional effect of making any item on the ground slowly lose it's charges, regardless of how it was dropped, and tell the Survivor who dropped it that you have Franklin's (as it shows the Cursed effect.) This would be much more fair and actually add some fair counterplay to the perk rather than being forced to drop your item in an effort to keep it from breaking, which also prevents you from using it.

So how would you counter a 4 man swf group running with 4 keys? Just sit back and accept the loss or lobby dodge continually. Actually give a viable solution to this. And yes they can stash their keys, but thats extremely rare and i have never personally seen it, and ive run franklins a lot since the change.
Franklins serves a purpose in countering lots of items. You can still do a trial without items very easily. Im not sure why you want this changed yet again. I can only assume its because you find it annoying. Well killers find 50 survivor perks annoying too.

The effect to knock out items and drain their charges isn't strong enough to really justify it to be a hex. Sure I know it's annoying to lose your item, but survivors don't need items to beat the killer.

Speaking as both a killer/survivor who hates that perk (and I think it's a waste of a perk slot anyways), I really don't agree with it being a hex. I think it's fine and balanced as is right now, especially now that you at least get to keep the item if you pick it back up and escape with it (lost many 4th year medkits/toolboxes because of it).

Do you want DH to be a totem?
Why survs always complain killers that and this?
Killer job is murder survs, not good neighbor invite you to barbecue.

Make it a hex?...No absolutely not, as it stands hexes are beginning to become obsolete any group with 2 people using the best hex killer small game, that will cause flashlights and key runners to have their way forcing lightborn to only counter flashlights but not keys. Seriously how little do you play? Because hardly any killers use it unlike men and I will tunnel and camp before I am willing to deal with that level of crap.

Totally agree, especially about hexes becoming obsolete. This past week i dont think a hex has lasted longer than a minute for me, even with undying.

Yeah I stopped running them because they are done and gone with one person using small game, two using it it's gone usual immediately making it worthless, hell maps are becoming obsolete as well due to this the recent totem perk on jill made no sense because of the new small game being the ultimate perk to remove. Hell it even keeps count!

I've stashed a key to prevent Franklin's. Smart players will do it. As I said, keys should be addressed in a different way. I wouldn't mind a key nerf.

Everyone smart will stash item (key / medkit), or use them asap (toolbox).
Franklin's Demise is really good on Wraith, so you don't need to dance around each survivor with flashlight. Also really good on Hag and Pinhead, but it is definetly not something worth hex.
Well, there is only few perks that are worth hex, some hexes could become normal perks and would be fine -> Blood Favour, Crowd Control (with cooldown).

Then you are in a minority.
You havent answered any of the other notes i brought up though. Even with a key nerf theres absolutely no reason for FD to be made into a Hex as it is nowhere near the same power as Ruin, Devour etc.

Lol then make hex totem spawns way more hidden.

You got to do the last-second character switch then BOOM! no more franklin's. If a killer sees you all with flashlights (which is the reason they put franklin's on) then the killer will equip the perk. Last second switch OP OP

I wouldn't mind that.

I'm aware but I've seen people use it anyway.

Oh... well that is unfortunate lol
