I am really excited for my first Halloween event, and can't wait to see what it is like to be in the circle for my first original killer reveal. Technically I saw the All Kill trailer before he released, but I didn't fully comprehend what DBD was at that point in time. And the performance has improved SUBSTANTIALLY since I joined. MMR more or less works as intended and this latest rift was quite fun to go through. Not much to complain about besides balance, but that is like every game ever that has issues with that. Game developers really need a bit of objectivity, me thinks.

Definitely can't blame you on the 2nd reason, i mostly avoid Survivor gameplay for that reason.

I still don't have my first 50k, from the first grade reset... :-/

You'll actually find that game to be even more annoying.

Back a few years ago it was great. Now it has it's own version of MMR. The only people that play the game are complete sweats. The only people you'll kill are bots created by the devs to give them free kills.

It's a game where you don't feel impressed by killing A.I but feel useless vs actual players. You waste 10 minutes getting resources and guns to die to your first real opponents.

Idk, my survivor games have been 50/50 for teammates and I've gotten really bad killers too much.

For killer though, no matter who I use it's an insane sweat fest. Maybe that where I should be, but I thought killers were suppose to have individual mmr, yet pin and neme who I didn't use prior had the same sweaty matches.

Literally 0 fun trying to learn these guys, missed out on neme because the performance made me take a break.

I tend to be angry playing this game more than actually having fun, regardless of which side I'm playing. Maybe it's not for me.

Not really happy with the state of the game right now. Killer queue times are awful, every match has become a sweatfest, and bugs and framerate issues has been affecting gameplay. The game is starting to become very stale and boring, too. There's nothing exciting happening in this game anymore.

I stopped playing the day SBMM dropped. The test was miserable, i tried it when it came out, it was just as miserable, and it's not worth my time.

I still like watching the game, I watch a lot of DBD content creators, their matches are miserable or ridiculously sweaty.

I am kinda happy I'm not playing this game, and I hope I don't touch it again until something changes.

I'm Happy that they changed the intro screen to the playstation version - been stressing over avoiding that screen for years now. Pretty sure the damaged VRAM chips in my PS4 is from this game. They did it quickly after that petition, which makes me wonder why they put it off so long if it was that easy.

I'm annoyed with the killer queue times to the extent I've been looking for a new game. I hate waiting 5-15 minutes just to deal with people who are going to quit if they're the first one downed, or you outplay some strategy that fails horribly. I feel like they want me to play survivor more than killer.

I hate that there are often more survivor than killer challenges in the archives. I want to play killer more than survivor, and not be forced to play survivor more, which is the case right now with the archives and killer queue times.

Beyond that, there are 15-25 perks in the game that could be removed and no one would notice. Most of those are killer perks, with some of the perks being like a tax on your bloodpoints. Having to buy perks like monstrous shrine, unrelenting, blood favor, hoarder, gearhead, dead man's switch, territorial imperative, and many more, is so incredibly frustrating with how grindy the game is already.

I guess that too, the grind is getting to me. When a new killer or survivor is released, it takes ~1m bp to unlock the perks. Then 240k per character to unlock those perks on every killer, which amounts to about 13-14m BP. On top of that the new killer takes 6.4m to get to P3-50, and then another ~7m(?) BP to unlock all of the perks. So, the new killer to P3-50 and all perks is ~13m BP; then getting those new perks on other killers is about 12-13m BP. So, it takes almost 30m BP to integrate the new content into your progress so far. It's nearly impossible to keep up with this release schedule and keep your characters primed for playing.

On top of this, they've made the entity so much more of an ######### on killer bloodwebs. You used to be able to trick the entity into canceling most of the bloodweb to save points, but they addressed that. I swear sometimes it seems like they just don't like people who play killer. Granted, the whole perk/BP issue for survivors is much grindier.

I’ve been and still am on Hiatus. I’m finally getting a PS5 after 8 months (?) after it’s release and figured I’d check back here, after the last 6-7 months of not playing, and see how things are going.

Looks like I haven’t missed much. Just more bad decisions from the Devs, more bugs to get accumulated with and the continued usual BS. Lol. I wish VHS was releasing on console upon release. I’m a huge fan for that Doll Master Killer. (Was he called DollMouth?). Game looks fun~

I’m gonna keep playing but not as much as I used too. This game is starting to get to me. The fact that people are uninstalling is not a good sign for BHVR.

Matchmaking is worse than ever, grind is worse than ever, there's nothing fun about this game at all.

If BHVR hasn't fixed this by now, it's clear they have no intention to.

    Stop giving them your money.

The reason i play less is because of the performance issues. But even if it was like before I usually burn out and take long breaks after a while. It is kinda meh when I can't play my favorite killer tho.

But, I don't see sbmm as bad as others see it.

The game has reached the bottom

Just kidding. Steam Outage. Can't play.

But, I am not sure about DBD

Nerf pinhead. Way too overpowered. No punishment for the killer when survivors can’t solve the box always gets location information and free downs when someone tries to solve the box

I hate my teammates. I'd prefer to play with literal bots. That's how I feel about DbD's current state and the way SBMM is performing.

Also, console performance sucks, there's always that.

    BHVR never care killer anything.

Survivor always use rush gen tactics,my killer game experience like broke pallets emulator.

Every game 1K is normal ,2k is lucky after SBMM .

When I play as a survivor, I can only hear the nurse's scream and Blight's bgm. When I play as a killer, I only meet users who have use Discord with friends or who have played at least a few thousand hours. The game has become so hard.

So I haven't play the game since September 17th and I don't plan on playing it until the mmr system changes. Maybe I won't be able to play Dead by Daylight like this forever :(

This was a hacker. I once played with crossplay off and faced a Spirit who phased exactly to my position when i was hiding in corner of an L-T wall. I just thought "lucky guess". She proceeded to slug and down everyone in like 1 minute. I've never seen something like this before, i know what's possible with Spirit and what not because i mained her for a while. I didn't gave her any traces, it was the start of the match and i heard the phase sound so i just walked into a hiding place without leaving scratchmarks. She spammed "ez" in aftergame chat and had a private profile without picture... anyway onto the next game...

with crossplay off you sometimes play against the same people in a row (i once played against the same survivor 3 times in a row), so next match it exactly starts like this again, she was downing everyone super fast and slugging. I decided to walk into a corner of the map, hiding behind a wall and just crouch there and waiting, to see if she at least tries to hide her hacking. Well she phased exactly to my position again 15 seconds after downing someone...

I'm honestly really bored with the game now and mmr has been a mess for the killers I actually want to play. I get stomped for 10 games in a row and then I get 2 really easy games and then it goes back to me being stomped. Also, I'm really sick of not getting map offerings and the game only wanting to send me to the swamp maps. It's boring and I'm sick of it.

I just hope that those who keep playing it, have a good time with it.

It's very likely that the majority of players that are more casual about the game are having a pretty good time with SBMM to be honest.

I just wish the devs were capable of balancing for better players without compromising the game for more casual players, so everyone could play the game and be happy with it.

It's weird to see the reaction of those who are happy that some players are having a horrible time with it. And they say these are all people who came out complaining NOW that they have to go against "bEtTeR sURvIvORs". When in reality it's just good killers going against the same imbalanced bs the game has always had.

It's like, we're complaining about the exact same bullshit that we were complaining about before, it's just that now we deal with it every single goddamn match instead of every 5 or 6 or 10 matches.

In any case. I do hope you enjoy your time with the game. I wish I could do the same, but I think it was better to not engage with the game until something changes.

How do I feel about the current state?

I'd rather deal with the constant threat of hurricanes for my entertainment than actually play this game in its current, unimaginative, buggy state.
