Spine chill...
So does anyone know how to find out for sure that someone has Spine chill equipped? And not just playing safe?

If they run and you don't have a TR, it's pretty safe to assume they have Spine Chill. Or maybe Premonition, but imo that perk is nowhere near as good as Spine Chill.
Other than that, no. With passive Survivor perks like that you just have to guess.

The proper way to use spine chill is to preemptively run to a gym or a safe pallet as soon as the perk lights up from a generator. If it’s a Swf on coms then the survivor with spinechill will tell their friends to prerun, smart survivors will place spine chill on the left side of the perk slots to get a better peripheral to see it lighting up on their screen.. There’s a few factors to determine if a survivor has Spinechill or also survivors might get greddy with vaulting windows because they have spine chill resilience together for 15% faster vault speed and you might swing and miss them playing killer..
To counter spine chill you simply moon walk to the generator if it’s behind a wall/ gym..
Is spine chill op? Maybe…

Try to figure out if they are playing like they have advanced warning that you are coming. Generally its easier to find out on a stealth killer.

It's tough to tell, honestly. Sometimes running early is a game sense thing and other times it's Spine Chill. You can watch the vault animation to see if it looks faster. Easier to tell on a stealth killer.

Honestly you cannot tell, survivors have 3rd person camera with 360 camera control, spine chill is just icing on the cake. People will just say don’t use your eyes but even if you don’t look survivors will still see you with there 3rd person pov trying to crabwalk to them lol. You better off just giving up if the survivors is immersed with spine chill because they will just run away soon as it light up lol

There’s no immediate way to tell. If it’s an indoor map and they ALWAYS run away before you get to them then it’s likely Spine Chill. If they vault quicker while healthy it’s guaranteed Spine Chill.
You just have to use your game sense. It’s really difficult to tell sometimes though. As someone said, survivors benefit from a very generous FOV while killers have Fat Stomach syndrome and can’t see their own, uh… you know.

Their toes? You meant toes, correct?

Whether you like it or not, facts can not be denied.

Usually they will leave the gen faster than the others and will probably hide better when you are getting closer.

Well, luckily that was an opinion. So I suggest denial.

Yes! Exactly.

That is definitely not the way to use Spine Chill - that'll end with a lot of false positives from chases and undirected patrols. The amount of time I see survivors because they panic and prerun is unreal.

I mean the amount of times I see good survivors who pre run cause of spine chill to tiles and pause at certain spots where the killer can only come from either direction is pretty crazy there’s definitely no false positive there.

If you have Undetectable and approach from a concealed angle, and they still start pre-running, They have Spine Chill or Coms.
