Press W to win

so i've noticed a lot of complains about survivors being able to extend a chase just by pressing W and how hard it is to catch up, well to be fair, when devs design 90% of the killers so that the most efficient way is pressing W, can we really blame survivors playing like that? looping around pallets or tileset is the worse thing you can do against most killers.

Trapper, loopable but as soon he puts a trap on a loop press W

Wraith, loopable, drop pallets earlier or get a stun and press W

Hillbilly, loopable, hold W and try to get behind objects, force window hits m1

Myers, loopable

Nurse, hold W, break LOS

Doc, kinda loopablel drop pallets early and run

Bubba, loopable, get a stun, jump in a locker, force window hits m1

Pig, loopable, hold W when she is sneak attacking on a loop

Spirit, press W, stand still, hope for the best

Plague, loopable, if power ready press W and break LOS

Huntress, Loopable in some loops, break LOS find walls or trees

Freedy, Loopable except on small loops

Clown, drop pallets early and press W

Legion, kinda loopable, press W and get as much distance as possible

Ghostface, loopable, if u marked press W and drop pallets for distance

Demo, loopable in only some loops, early drop and run

Oni, press W, early drop to not give him his power

Hag, press W not really loopable if its a good hag obviously

Deathslinger, not really loopable only in a few areas, drop pallet, hold W and break LOS

PYramid head, not loopable, you get hit no matter what. best way to play against, drop pallet hold W

Nemesis pretty much the same like Phead just a weaker version

Trickster, you cant loop a trickster, break LOS, find walls and press W

Twins, kinda loopable, against victor, find objects, windows or press W

Pinhead, just press W there is no point trying to loop him

Blight, W, LOS, kinda loopable, find walls, objects

so here is the short detailed overview how to play against them, are they loopable yeah sure but do you really wanna try to loop a trickster on a open map and go down in 5 sec or press W and get down in 20seconds?

do you want to try loop a nurse on a pallet, a phead? you wanna stay at a pallet what is trapped?

also, how many times do you play against a killer who is loopable? ofc not, because people play killers who have a anti loop in their kit so the only way for survivors are holding W and wasting as much time as possible.

the loop meta is pretty much over, just look at the last 7 killer releases

Pinhead, Nemesis, Trickster, Twins, Blight, Phead, Deathslinger

BHVR is literally releasing killers who cant get looped anymore, is it good? yeah sure. but then complaining about the W meta is kinda dumb.

I do not complain about the hold w meta. If anything, I think we need a survivor validation revert to encourage less pallet camping. M'kay?

That only works against very slow killers like nurse but sooner or later she will catch up. Complaining about survivors that go full W is funny.

Gen repair time its the real issue. Matches should start with a defuff to repair speed and gradually increase repair speed as the time pass or survivors die, like other similar games out there.

I find it funny how many people complain that "all survivors do is hold down a single button to run away". As opposed to killers, who have to press a single button to attack them.

I mean survivors have little skill too, billy chainsaw across the map while avoiding everything just for you to walk to the left or right to dodge his ability. What takes more skill? Landing a chainsaw sprint or slightly moving to the side?

Well to be fair landing Billy's chainsaw and the survivor's attempt to avoid it both basically come down to pressing left or right.

I'm not trying to shame killers or anything, I've got Doc in my avatar because I love playing him. I've just noticed that killer mains seem to do the most complaining on this board (though it's pretty damn close). I've always found the "hold W to win" argument to be a gross oversimplification of the survivor's role and could just as easily say "press the power button to win" which I think would irritate the other "side" just as much. Both killers AND survivors clearly have to do more than simply "move" to win a match.

I don't know. Too much hyperbole in the community.

I always found the "hold W to win" argument stupid. Not only killers are faster (not counting Nurse since she is beyond game mechanics), but the maps are closed. This means a survivor can't run eternally in a straight line but must move on a curve, and that allows the killer to cut them off and save a lot of time. Of course it doesn't work if you mindlessy follow survivors step by step. The only time the argument is valid is when talking about Midwich, since the map layout makes cutting survivors off impossible.
