Is slugging to death ever reportable?
I know what you're going to say: no, slugging is not reportable. I get that. But I just went up against a Twins player who never hooked anyone the entire game and spent the entire match slugging and camping us, to the point where all 4 of us were almost dead from slugging, and I died from being slugged the entire match. I could barely do anything at all. I even made her grab me out of a locker twice and she just dropped me and slugged me, even with a hook right beside me.
So, I was thinking that when you go to report someone, it says you can report them for refusing to participate in normal gameplay, I assume this falls into that? I do have the match recorded, and I did make an in game report, but I don't want to waste my time and submit a ticket if it's just going to be rejected. Can anyone weigh in on this?

A doctor did this to me before, but I think it's safe because you bleed out eventually.
It's a bullshit way to play, but I don't think it's against any rules.

Not reportable. You don't have to like it, but that is a strategy the killer is allowed to use. Eventually the game will end.

I dont think its reportable i do that a lot when i have some RPD offering and i never got ban for that. But you can ask a mod to be sure they have info the normal community dont have

I don't know how this wouldn't be against the rules. I literally can't play the game. If you get hooked, you have the option of leaving the game by letting go on hook, but if I'm getting slugged to death, there is literally nothing you can do but sit there. And every time my teammate tries to pick me up, we get hit by victor with hitboxes the size of a truck, and slugged again with sloppy butcher.

Sadly no. It's not bannable from what I heard. Sucks to know too, I had a Freddy slug my friends to death today and using knock out to do it. I was the only one that got out because they killed themselves so I could get hatch.

It's so frustrating. And understandably, I was pissed off at the end, and it turned out the killer was doing it on purpose to "make us salty". I hate people like that who intentionally play like that to suck the enjoyment out of the game for everyone else.

I lost 20+ minutes of my life today to different killers who decided to slug me and then kill the other 3 survivors instead of putting me on a hook. Super fun.
It's not reportable, nor should it be. What the game needs is a concede option, so I can be like, "Cool, you win," and leave behind a husk that continues to be slugged while I move on. The dying state sucks, devs; congrats on executing such a terrible, miserable mechanic.

It is against forum rules to tag mods or devs.
Wasn't always like this, but they changed it recently. I guess they got tired of people tagging them for bs.

I would be happy with this. It's not fun, nor is it fair to make me spend extended periods of time trapped in a match where I can't do anything. At this point, I think I'll just start DCing and eating the penalty. I don't have much of a choice anymore.

Slugging even with what you mentioned is not reportable they are engaging in gameplay even if you do not like how they play.

I saw but i dont think its BS its a really question the game dont explain and im sure the mod have more info on it instead of us stipulating. If they ban me then i will know their stand and leave the forum

Regular slugging where you bleed out in 4 minutes is not reportable.
If you face the same killer in multiple matches and each time they slug you (and only you) to death they'd be targeting you and could be reported for griefing - you'd need video proof to show they targeted you in multiple matches.
There is a way to extend the bleedout, similar to the old mori spamming where it would take 10 minutes for the eventual bleedout, that would be reportable for griefing - again, would need video proof.

Today I had to slug someone until they died cause they kept running into the same corner of the map with no hooks close enough to hooked them. What else am I supposed to do in this situation? Believe me I also didnt like staring at that persons body for four damn minutes but I for sure won't give them a free escape.

Yeah I get that, and that kind of slugging is justified. But with my situation, there were plenty of hooks around, survivors nowhere near me, and the killer just wanted to slug us to death so he could make us angry (they said as much in the post game chat). Right from the very beginning of the game right up until the end. No one should have to sit through that.

If a survivor is unable to play in this scenario, it speaks more for the ability of the player and teammates than the killer. It's up to survivors to avoid the killer and provide altruism, death by slug is a result of personal mistakes and failed teamwork.

That's totally possible. I saw it happen today. There was only one hook in an area all the survivors kept running to, and once that one was used there was nothing. The killer tried to hook one, he got off the killer's shoulder and ran back to the dead zone, so two survivors bled to death that match.

It's called playing solo queue without unbreakable/soul guard against a face camp slugging Twins with Deerstalker and Sloppy Butcher. No amount of skill is going to get you out of that situation without either good coordination or the right perks, especially in a dead zone.

Yeah, just play better and coordinate with your solo teammates telepathically so you don’t get slugged to death 4head. If you’re not a pro survivor you deserve to waste 4 minutes of your life bleeding out, shame on you for daring to make mistakes in a video game.

Nobody likes being slugged for 4 minutes. As I said, you don't have to like it. But it's within the rules and confines of dbd, so it's not reportable or bannable.

While slugging is essentially nto enjoyed by majority of players, even in scenarios like that, it is not bannable and reportable, as the game will end in a guaranteed timer.

Similar situation with a Nemesis facecamping and eventually 4 guys on floor till death with crows on head. And Nemesis running in circles around.
I created a ticket, sending them a videoclip and a image from the game. They just told me, "So sorry, but slug is not bannable.
In my oppinon these flagrant and intentional cases with checkable proofs should be bannable, bit I´m not game developer.

I not appreciate such gameplay but i understand why some killers do so. They are salty after loosing a lot and being bullied by swf.

Solo is the best way to play, for me at least. Sbmm has only made it easier.
Personal skill will show how you compare to your teammates, are you the first to be slugged or are you last one standing carrying the team from a 4m bleedout? Altruism requires teamwork, avoiding/escaping chase is entirely self reliant.

Everyone makes mistakes, it's bound to happen. Don't need to be a pro, but everything before the down are the basics and core of the game.
As for solo, everyone is capable of combating slugging without the communication. For the most part I think it's simply waiting too long to go for the pickup that is the downfall. The moment Survivor number two hits the ground get going for the first one.
Better to ditch a gen for the save then be left without any other distractions for the Killer.

The reason slugging is not reportable is because you are guaranteed to die in four minutes if you are unable to get back up. If everyone is slugged with no way up, that just means everyone will die in four minutes tops.

If you read my post at all, I said I know normally slugging is not reportable. I was asking because the killer was refusing to hook anyone the entire game, dragging the game out to over 30 minutes because they wanted to make us bleed to death on purpose, which by the the tutorial and all common sense, sounds like refusing to participate in normal gameplay.

they could at least make it if all 4 survivors are slugged the bleed out timer speed is doubled because 4 minuets of not playing the game is almost as long as a dc punishment

I get that it's very boring, especially with the bleed out timer being 4 minutes, being slugged can feel dull. I normally just go afk and get crows on my survivor, the constant sound cues from the crows hopefully at least annoy or distract the killer, I especially do this if the killer is slugging for the 4k because I hope it misleads them and when they get the sound cue they assume it's other survivor who isn't slugged. If a killer is being toxic and just standing over my body and waiting for me to bleed out then I'll just put my controller down and go on my phone or get a drink or something.

When this happens go do gens and leave they die. Otherwise, you will barely get 10k. It's boring just get heal and get down the whole game!
