Welcome back... this is the first part of a nine part group of posts that will detail Killer, Survivor and Map concepts created to be Licensed chapters based on the world Project Moon has made so far only defined as The City.

To start out I'll begin with the premise of how this book will be released. 1-8 will be the actual ideas and part nine will be an AMA answer sheet about any part of the Book that people question. Each Part (Except 9) will include one killer (I'm a killer main, sue me). Parts 2, 4, and 6 will include maps and part 3 will include a survivor.

I'll be releasing them in order of power.

The Zayin (ז)

Biography

The Fairies in fairy tales are described as benevolent. This could not be further from the truth, at least after this long. They are carnivorous creatures that wish for the best kinds of meals. Being captured by Lobotomy Corporation, in The City, provided them with many excellent meals, but they were not going to just let their meals be lost. The staff that worked with the queen were given care but when they left the care followed for some time. If a person in their care was about to be sent to another work the fairies decided to feast on the meal that they were protecting. This went on for millennia. One day the Corporation went away and with it a long time passed. The Fairies started starving, having been deprived of food. During the long absence of the corporation a fog suddenly rolled in. The fog called out to The Fairy Queen offering her food for eternity. 

Appearance


The Zayin is a creature that has pale green skin and walks on four limbs, with a pair of sub-limbs. Her hind two limbs are spiked and front two curled claws that it uses to rip into people. Her entire body is spotted with blood, which is most pronounced around the hands on its sub-limbs and mouth. Four shriveled and tattered wings protrude out of her back. Each limb has a golden bracelet on it.

She walks by using her front limbs to pull its bind limbs behind it fluttering her wings the whole time.

Weapon and Cosmetics

Default:

Starving Matriarch: While starving her body has mutated to this form.

Regal Bands: These golden bands accented your previous form better than now.

Claws of a Beast: eating with these was never intended, but now required

Mori

The Zayin has 2 different Mori animations depending on if she is near a Nest. (Within 12 meters)

  • Without a nest: The Zayin pins the survivors arms to the ground with its front limbs then it bends over the survivor and uses its mouth and sublimbs to devour the Survivor whole.
  • With a nest: The Zayin pins the survivors arms to the ground with its front limbs. A swarm of smaller fairies come out of the nest and eat at the survivor as the queen rips out their stomach with her sub-limbs

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Movement Speed: 4.4 m/s

Power

Main ability: The Fairies’ Care

At the start of the trial, 8 Fairy Nests spawn around the map. Survivors that come within 16 meters of the nest, gain the benefits of The Fairies’ Care. This effect refreshes as long as the survivor(s) is within range.

Status: The Fairies’ Care

Survivors in this state gain a slight self recovery rate increase. And all healing actions performed on inflicted Survivors increase in speed (+25%). If a survivor is injured and is put into this state (Must be injured before being given care), after 60 seconds they are healed up to the healthy state. Survivors in this state are given the deep wound status effect when injured and are recovered from that status after 10 seconds. 

The auras of survivors with The Fairies’ Care are revealed to The Zayin while the survivor is outside their terror radius every 10 seconds for 2 seconds.

Attempting to escape through the exit gate while The Fairies’ Care is active on the survivor will kill the survivor instantly.

Survivors can leave this state by finishing a generator.

Survivors can leave this state by having a flashlight shown on them for 3 seconds.

Survivors can leave this state by having another survivor perform the removal action. This action takes 8 seconds.

Every Time a generator is completed 1 Fairy Nest is turned starved. 

Secondary Ability: Starvation 

Survivors within 16 meters of a Starved Fairy Nest, become exposed for 40 seconds and their location is shown with Killer instinct as long as they’re within range. (both effects refresh as long as the survivor is in range) 

Being near a Starved Fairy Nest does not put survivors under The Fairies Care.

Entering the range of a Starved Fairy Nest while under the Fairies care will remove the survivor from the state and they will not be affected by the Starved Fairy Nest for 20 seconds

Special Attack: Wingbeat

Pressing the Power button will have The Zayin launch forwards a distance (~ 8 meters) without stopping. The Zayin cannot stop unless it travels the full distance or collides with a Wall or Pallet. This attack does not break pallets and breakable walls. Colliding with a survivor with the dash will damage them and stop the dash. This attack has a cooldown of 4 seconds between attacks.

Perks (in reverse order)

PROTECT THE MEAL Lv40+ Teachable Perk

After a survivor gets unhooked Protect The Meal activates for the next 30/35/40 seconds:

  • The next Generator you damage regresses at triple the speed
  • The next Generator you damage is guarded by The Entity for the next 10/12/15 seconds. The Guarded Generator will have a single Entity Limb sprouting out of the antenna.
  • Survivors that attempt to interact with the guarded Generator will be inflicted with the Broken status effect for 30 seconds, and The Entity will stop guarding the Generator.

PERSISTENCE IS NO VIRTUE LV35+ TEACHABLE PERK

While they had a steady flow of food, the same ones kept coming.

When a Survivor takes a Protection hit, inflict the Mangled status effect, and the Hindered status effect for 5/8/10 seconds.

FRESH MEAT LV30+ TEACHABLE PERK

Wishing for a meal for so long has made fresh meat far more appealing. 

You become obsessed with One Survivor.

You start the Trial  with 5/4/3 tokens. 

Each time you perform a basic attack on your Obsession, lose 1 token. 

Each time you hook your Obsession, gain 1 token. 

Each time you lose a token gain a 1/2/3 % haste effect for 10/15/20 seconds.

While you have any amount of Tokens, The Obsession has a 6% increase to all Altruistic actions.

Fresh Meat has a cool down of 30 seconds.

Increases the range of a Wingbeat attack slightly (+ 2 meters)

Bloody Armband:

Survivors that take a protection hit from a Wingbeat attack become hindered for 5 seconds.

Picture of Bad Meat:

Recovery rate from The Fairies’ Care is reduced slightly (- 5%)

Enkephalin Overdose (Zayin):

Considerably decreases range of Wingbeat attack (- 4 meters)

Earn 50% more bloodpoints on a successful Wingbeat attack

Tuned Fairies:

Considerably increases amount of time a Survivor’s aura is revealed by The Fairies’ Care (+ 1 second)

Wand of a Wingbeat:

Successful Wingbeat attacks have a Considerably reduced cooldown (-3 seconds)

Purple:

Survivors near a Fairies’ Nest are inflicted with the oblivious status effect.

Fairies’ Nest Range is reduced moderately (- 4 meters) does not stack with other moderate effects

Bone-Crushing Teeth:

Injured survivors near a Starved Fairies’ Nest are inflicted with the mangled status effect.

Fairies’ Nest Range is reduced moderately (- 4 meters) does not stack with other moderate effects

Eyeless Fairies:

The Fairies’ Care can no longer be removed by finishing a Generator

Remove Fairies action takes moderately less time (- 2 seconds)

Starving Faires:

Exposed effect from Starved Fairy Nests last Considerably longer (+ 20 seconds)

Fairies’ Nest range is reduced moderately (-4 meters) does not stack with other moderate effects

Iridescent:

Level 1 Employee’s File:

Survivors under the effect of The Fairies’ Care suffer from the blindness and oblivious status effects.

Survivors are healed from the injured state after 50 seconds and The Fairies’ Care is removed.

Survivors near a Starved Fairies Nest are inflicted with the Broken status effect. (replaces the exposed status effect)

The Fairies’ Care cannot be removed by a Starved Fairies Nest

Fairies’ Nest Range is reduced Considerably (- 8 meters)

Many Fairies Bodies:

Reduces the number of Fairy Nests by 2

Increases range of Wingbeat attack immensely (+ 8 meters)

Cool Down of Wingbeat attack reduced Considerably (- 3 seconds)

Hitting a Survivor with a Wingbeat attack inflicts The Fairies’ Care State.

Fairies’ Care State Changes in these ways:

  • Removal action takes Considerably less time (- 4 seconds)
  • Aura of a survivor under The Fairies’ Care is revealed slightly less often (- 4 seconds)
  • The Fairies’ Care cannot be removed by finishing generators
  • Recovery rate from The Fairies’ Care is reduce considerably (- 15%)
  • Protection from Starved Fairy Nests reduced immensely (- 15 seconds)
  • Injured Survivors gaining The Fairies’ Care no longer heals them.
  • Deep Wounds effect while under care is no longer removed.

The Zayin (Pronounced [ˈzäyin]) is a killer based on "The Fairy Festival" an abnormality based on the many fairy tales that include benevolent fairies with a darker twist hiding under the surface. The entirety of this killer is designed to act and play as a fea creature that seems benevolent on the surface to then betray the people that trust them in unforeseen ways. The killer plays and melds the health states to become almost meaningless, flat out killing a survivor if they mess up and forget about the little fairies around them.
