So we are changing killers because “they are boring to play against?”
With the Spirit Nerf and Deathslinger nerf, it seems that killers are being changed because they aren’t fun to verse apparently. Hopefully this means that gen slamming SWF gets some kind of change because they aren’t fun to verse either.
I don’t care for the Spirit nerf, Only Deathslinger. No more yee-haw. Well see the changes tomorrow though.

yep no worries, in the future pretty much every annonying and 1v1 killer be nerfed to hell becasue its annoying to play against.. how about to start balanced killers who are 4v1 instea of 1v1 ? once again great balancing as always bhvr....

Funny, because many people whine about reworked pre-nerf Freddy, Blight with slowdowns, Wraith, and Pinhead, which are 1v4 elements. It's almost as if killers having a clear focus in their design has survivors firing up the crocodile tears.

Because it wasn't a mindgame right?. If u really think it was great mind game to facecheck Spirit or trying to dodge and instant shot from Deathslinger well I'm not. Now he is more like Huntress and at least I know he is going to shoot at me. I understand that not everyone has perfect aim, but when u face someone good it's pretty one-sided game.

Or, you know, its because they both have powers with extremely limited/no counterplay except guessing what the killer will do, which is unhealthy...like the Dev Notes stated they were?
Also, searched up 'fun' on this Dev Update and saw that the reason Plague was being buffed was because they want her to be more fun to play.

Just now? I remember a lot of talk about nerfing Freddy because he was "Boring". Not overpowered per se -- no one seemed really able to point out much bad about him besides the Forever Freddy addon combo -- just that he was "Boring".
Then he got some numbers tuned down, and he was the same except a little less capable, and suddenly that talk largely tapered off. Apparently a weaker Freddy was in some intangible way more... exciting?

Like Huntress? He was already a weaker Huntress.
A shot doesn’t guarantee a hit like Huntress.
He can’t hit across the map like Huntress
He was no where near like Huntress to begin with. He is now a 32m Terror Radius Killer, He can no longer quick scope (the only good thing about him) and is still a 4.2m/s (110%) killers.
He was amazing in a 1v1 that is all he had going for him. Demogorgon can fake an attack just like Deathslinger but I never hear anyone complain about it, why him only because of the quick scope?
Survivors really only want to play against 3 killers from the looks of it.

They're slowly balancing killers in such a manner that very good survivors will easily beat killers in the 1v1. The problem with that is that it's a 1v4 game and the killer is supposed to be the power role. Trials with killers getting one to two hooks are soon going to be the norm at high MMR if this design philosophy continues.

Hatch (like Moris) ended games prematurely without requiring much skill. The change is justified.
Killers, however, have been slow to receive buffs because it can “get out of hand”, and they “stomp newer survivors”.

Games are meant to be played for fun, so these changes are definitely welcomed
Also we just got one of the most frustrating mechanics basically removed, which is keys.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know a killer with absolutely no map pressure, 110% speed, has a very small hitbox with a bullet that fires as hard as a charged Huntress shot (that is also incredibly inconsistent and gets ######### over by Dead Hard), and now a Terror Radius that is LARGER than the range his gun will allow having some kind of advantage that is entirely up to the skill of the killer pllaying it is bad game design.
Changes shouldn't be made based on how fun something is. but how balanced it is.
If we made changes based on how "fun" they are to play against, we would have to see Unbreakable, Decisive Strike and BT gutted. Because I sure as hell don't have "fun" playing with these perks that appears in every game I play.

Do note that I never said I agree with the specific changes they made to Deathslinger, so your initial rant is irrelevant. I even elaborated on my thoughts in another comment a few minutes ago (the thread about why nerf Deathslinger instead of Pyramid Head), so feel free to check that out if you wish.

Yeah. It's absolutely miserable playing against an entire lobby of Iron Will and Dead Hard to start with amongst other unfun aspects of the killer role in this game, but crickets there. It's hard to take anyone seriously that thinks the devs have the fun of the killer player as a priority.
