He's gone. Literally. He's going to be bottom 3.

Ok, completely honestly, it will hurt but won't ruin him in terms of power. Even if these changes hit live (let's hope not), he'll be at worst low B tier killer, right now I'd rank him low A tier or very high B tier.
What these changes mainly do is make him clunky and far less fun to play which will push players away from playing him.
It really depens on how he'll feel on the PTB, it could be not that bad or it could be terrible. We'll see soon.

He's going to move from B tier to C tier below Trickster.

The Deathslinger will still be an extremely good killer. The best Deathslinger mains with thousands of hours won't even notice these nerfs. He just now has a little bit of counterplay that makes the game more fun for survivor!

This will kill him. If Survivors are even remotely competent and milk that extra 8m of warning they get, they'll make him spend 20 more seconds just holding W after them on every chase. He already has really low map pressure, only made up by his ability to cut chases short. With a 32m TR he can't do that anymore without copious investment in Undetectable perks.

He is probably top 6 or 7 at the current moment, around twins or pyramid heads strength assuming you play perfectly with him.
This change will make him "meh". But most importantly it will make in incredibly unfun to play.

Very funny.

He will be exactly like Huntress. Huntress has to wait a little before launching her hatchets, and she's not bad.
They said they'll improve his speed while aiming, so survivors won't be able to crouch indefinitely nor gaining distance in loops or in the open.
He'll be fair, just fair.

Yeah it has to be fun for survivors for them to be fair. Doesn't matter if it's fun for the killer or not.

Haha, sorry. But how exactly will you dodge these thousands of hours slinger mains when they're extremely precise ? Will you randomly strafe to sides when he readies up his gun ? Like you do now basically.
Counterplay hasn't changed at all, either get away before he's close or predict where and when he'll shoot based on experience on game knowledge. The spear still moves so fast it's unreactable, nothing has changes in terms of counerplay.
Only thing that has changed is his level of jankness and the option to evade chases thanks to 32m TR. In chase he's got exactly the same counterplay as before.

Yeah he's going to suck now. He was pretty weak anyway, his 1v1 was great but he would still lose to any coordinated team. Now he's just all round bad. He might still be ok in 1 v 1(but far far weaker), but with no buffs to his glaring weakness to offset these changes, he will be worse than trickster imo.

Huntress doesn't have her aim sensitivity super low while holding a hatchet, has a larger hitbox on her hatchets, and immediately deals damage instead of having to spend time to reel the survivor close and possibly lose a down.

I think I will still main him after the nerf because his chase theme is an absolute banger, but from the looks of it he seems like he is going to be really bad, not trapper tier but he will struggle even more against good survivors.

He has entered my top 5 recently and just as fast he will leave it.
They took away everything that made him great IMO. Hopefully something changes before live.
