Deathslinger main here
I have been a slinger main since the day he was released, and I never found him to be overly broken or op, sure I can hit survivors through windows with my gun or shoot through walls, but other than that I found him having a lot of downtime when he wasn´t in the chase, so my question is, why on earth did they change him with a literal 0 buffs whatsoever??? I just hope that he can play relatively the same, with a slight cooldown. I´m just boggled why they nerfed a mid-tier killer but buffed one of the higher tiered ones.

Dude slinger got a huge buff now when he aim he run faster that all you need like that you can run to survivor while you aim just like huntress

He did get a buff in movement speed when aiming and we've yet to see his add on changes. Not saying that will be enough but it's more than zero

the point that makes or breakes these changes is how long exactly you will need to be scoped in before you can shoot.
cause lets face it, the only things that made him good were his ability to quickly ambush unsuspecting targets (now gone) and the ability to quickscope someone out of a loop (at the very least reduced in its efficiency, potentially gona as well).
if his quickscope takes too much of a hit, there is legitimally no reason to pick him over Huntress or Trickster anymore.

They only nerfed him to please survivors, which are the majority. No different than when they gave Billys chainsaw a cd. No reason for it other than to make their player basis stick around longer to buy more cosmetics.

Yeah, they kind of gutted him with very little compensation. I am sad I never got to abuse monitor and abuse. My Slinger is only level 34 because I do not want his teachable in the pool and he already has ruin and BBQ maxed. Lol.

I'd imagine it'll be fairly reasonable, maybe a second to ADS before you can shoot, and maybe abother second to cancel out. More in line with Nemi's tentacle whip or Demo's shred. You'll still be able to nail people at windows, but you'll have to predict it *slightly* better rather than reflex reacting.

Nemesis Tentacle is not a second CD to use.
A full second before he could fire is an absolute death sentence compared to the change the devs have stated (0.4). It's still bad that he can't quickscope, but jesus some of you just want to murder killers.

According to the wiki Nemesis does take 0.35s to charge his whip. I always thought it was closer to a full second. So yeah, quick revisement: If Slinger took 0.35s to ADS and 0.4-0.5 seconds to cancel out, isn't that a pretty reasonable change? As I said, you can still nail people at windows so long as you even partially predict it. And the increased movement speed while scoped should help make up for the delays.

I should have been more specific, he´s getting a few noticeable changes, what I´m worried about is his ability to ads quick in loops and such, that´s where he was strong at, and I´m glad that they are revisiting his add-ons but I honestly doubt they will be enough of a change to make an impact.

What kind of impact is that going to have? I don’t care if he moves normal movement speed, his speed while he ADS’s has never or will never change the game.

They would be doing an add-on pass on him at that point

They definitely should've given him a better buff alongside these new mechanics.
They did it so that hes more fun when we play survivor, but it objectively just made him worse so some compromise would be very welcome.
