Something that I think some people are missing about boon totems
In the description for boon totems, they are described as a 'small safe haven' and that the Killer will be able to hear the boon totem 'while in its range.' This of course could mean nothing but I think that the boon totems will be area of effect totems, meaning that the argument of a killer needing to go far out of their way to remove it does not matter, because if it is in a dead zone, then no benefits can be gained unless the survivor goes to the dead zone as well. Effects like a mini kindred when a survivor or killer enters the area, 50% grunt of pain reduction, could be very interesting, and I'm looking forward to them!

Have they shown a picture of boon totems yet? I wanna know what color they are. I might just leave them up if they manage to make it look good~

I think they have a blue hue to them based on the developer update image.

In 5th Anniversary video when they announced boon totems they said you would need to be near them so I think you're right. This would also make sense why survivors can change which totem is blessed. Needing to bless nearby totem, and multiple times at that to use it through out match, I really doubt these are a perk we'll see much of.

Not bad, not bad. At the very least when I go trolling in December with my Santa Clown, I’ll leave these up~

You know what... You're right. I hadn't thought of the possibility that they'd have a capped range. If they go that route I actually *could* see a healthy version of one of these perks. Though if they do that they will need their auras to be shown to the other Survivors. Otherwise I could see them falling into the same issue old OoO had where it was broken beyond all reason for SWF but useless for solos.
