Cant spectate or leave lobby after dying.

Im on ps5. If im the first one to die I cant spectate the lobby or leave. I literally have to close application and restart. Only button that works is options. It started happening after newest update.
edit: okay apparently its not if i die first. Its if i die at all.. Most games i cannot spectate and have to restart game. This is starting to get really frustrating.
