Boon totems
So they gave a little bit more info about boon totems.
From my understanding a survivor can bless a dull totem and transform it i to a boon totem, they can even put a HEX totem into a boon totem after blessing it according to Mandy.
No it doesn't specifically that a survivor can bless a dull totem again after the killer took it away.
If that is possible than why not make it so the killer can also activate their hex on a dull totem again after it was taken away?
Another thing is since the survivor can choose any totem to be a boon totem, why not let the killer choose their totems for for their hex?
Make it that that the killer can see all of their totem locations at the start of a trail for a X amount of time before their aura disappear again.
As the survivor has maps and perks to find any totems, this seems a reasonable thing for the killer.
Like to hear you're thoughts as well as some confirmation from the devs or/or mods.

Im wondering how a boon totem will interact with pinheads plaything perk.
will blessing a totem also be similarly blocked by everyone but the person whos totem it is for 90 seconds or not
if their are no dull totems left and a boon totem when you hook a survivor ti wont overwrite a boon totem and you lost the opprotunity to get a plathing totem out OR will the totem wait and activate once you cleanse a boon totem and a dull totem is available

I really don't get it
Killers say they don't have time to look for boon bones because they must just chase and kill
But also want to look for bones to set up the Hexes themselves?

If killer could rebuild his hex totem, he should always see all totems. Just make it in different colors, for example Hex totems are red and dull totems are white. And if survivors make their boon totem, killer could figure it out like: - Aha, my dull totem disappeared, so survivors either placed dull there or just destroyed it. It won't be overpowered and still requires some mind game.

I'm all for letting killers set their own hex totem spots, will help me find them easier. Most times I find a hidden hex totem at start of match it's thanks to a killer checking on their totem first thing.
If killers were to set their own hexes all survivors would have to do is pay attention to where the killer goes. Killer goes to area not near a gen? Odds are that's where they are placing their hex totem.
Killers will probably also end out only going to the hidden totem spots so survivors will just head straight for those spots and either destroy the Hex after the killer places it or destroy the hidden dull totem before the killer even gets there. If they destroy the hidden totem before it's hexed then killer will be left with totem out in the open for their hex - so not only is it still in the open where it could've been anyway with rng but now killer has wasted time they could've spent applying pressure setting up a hex totem.

Well, you see - having to spend 20 seconds to put your ruin into a good spot is well invested time and preferable to having your ruin spawn 1 meter next to a generator.

Probably some of them wants to suffer even more. Who knows...
What do u think if there were revive cooldown on hex totems. Like if your Ruin was destroyed it reappears on free dull totem after 1 min.

That'd just be old Undying with a cooldown, may as well just bring old Undying back at that point.

I agree and i should have put that in there.
But when i play killer i don't want to spend time doing that, nor searching for noob totems.
But my point was that if survivors can keep making noob totems every time it's taken away by the killer, then it's only fair that a killer should be able to activate their hex again.
You can choose whether or not you want to go for it just like the survivors can.
Exactly this.
Just like putting it up a hill in the open like a lighthouse or just in front of it.
The only maps that are good with totems are midwich, lery and Hawkin.
This is also a good idea but can be strong with hexes that use tokens, or they should go back to 0.
But other than that, that isn't such a bad idea tbh

If you could see totems auras for the first minute, it would be really fast compared to searching for the specific totem survivors blessed. Heading to a known location versus finding a hidden totem are totally different things.
