Boon totems won't appeal to the survivors you hate
What are the type of survivors people generally complain about on here? And elsewhere? The kind most killers want to avoid?
Bully squads and sweat squads. Two subgenres of SWF (not the majority of them alright, I play in a SWF too), one has the objective of making the killer, who ideally has less experience than them, have as much of a bad time as possible. The other wants back to the lobby within 5 minutes if possible.
Neither of these groups has interest in running this crap, you see any survivors like this taking much interest in healing or running dance with me or deception to mess with their scratchmarks? Or having any interest in totems which are a distraction from the only thing they're focused on (i.e. gens or yourself) It's a new option for those who prefer more interesting playstyles.
I'm not saying they don't need any tweaks, I don't really like being able to move them without the killer snuffing them for one thing, but I don't think their introduction is a bad thing. If they turn out to be insanely meta and OP feel free to reference this post back to me and I'll put haddonfield on my next 10 killer matches as penance for being a naive idiot but seriously - I don't think it'll be so bad.

You genuinely don't see why a SWF would want to run Shadow Dance? 100 meters of perfect stealth doesn't appeal to groups?

I honestly think that bully squads are gonna love the perk. Although, I guess only time will tell. You're more than likely correct about the sweat squads though. They'd probably prefer to just hammer out the gens like normal.

A swf might but the worst ones probably won't. Lucky break is already ridiculous and no one runs it. If lucky break had become meta or even vaguely common after its rework or its buff after that I might think differently, but it didn't.

Regardless of its inevitable nerf (because they definitely are going to nerf them into oblivion) I will definitely use them. I so glad we finally got a new mechanic for survivors even if it's a bit op.

Shadow Dance is Lucky Break + Distortion and it lasts all game, because the survivors can re-light cleansed totems

I could be wrong, but even with 16 perks between them I find it hard to imagine them sacrificing even one more directly obnoxious one

What’s funny is that Boon Perks will be most effective on SWF teams.

As excited as I am for these perks you are right they will be nerfed into the ground ;3; I understand why tho. The healing one is crazy and the fact we can just light boon totem indefinitely is insane.
I am the same as you tho. I am excited to have a new mechanic and I will use the boon perks as well ^^

Even if it is a popular choice, kinda like @dspaceman20 said, I'd like to go against more survivors doing stuff like this rather than 4 x second chance perks + ignoring everything except gens.

As with everything to do with survivor. But I'd mostly expect to see it on teams just playing for fun or maybe a blendette squad.

They'll waste more of your time than second chance perks will. Losing chase is a huge deal and very easy to do with 100-something meters of Lucky Break + Distortion

In a particularly good area it could be a problem, which is why I don't think survivors should be able to switch totem without the killer snuffing it and/or killers should be able to actually destroy totems themselves.

A cleansed boon should be cleansed, period. It's actually insane that survivors can just relight them for free. There isn't any actual counterplay at this juncture, the killer just has to play with that disadvantage.

If only there was a certain mechanic allowing you to stop the effect of a blessed totem, damn...

That's just exactly the same as hex totems then, for an area-bound effect with (probably, usually) less impact than hex perks.
If survivors can't relight without it being snuffed out then if one of them puts it in a dumb place on the first totem they find in the middle of a deadzone I can opt to have it stay there so it can't go anywhere better.
If killers can destroy totems I can take out one in an area I don't want any boons being in (i.e. central building crotus penn)
This way they aren't just a carbon copy of hexes and there's more strategy involved in dealing with them on both sides.

If the survivor placed their boon badly, that's their mistake. They chose for it to be there. The killer shouldn't have to keep cleansing and cleansing every time that guy replaces it.

What's funny is that the match usually starts when there's 1-3 generators left with a killer trying to take the last generator hostage until he can permanently remove players off the match. The boon totem eliminates 3 gen strategies since a Survivor can just get hit run to some part of the map a killer can't afford to go into then permanently heal rinse and repeat. And if you do decide to destroy that totem the survivor can just relit it again lmao

That's my point - if a survivor puts their boon in a stupid place, as a killer I should be able to ignore it and force it to stay in that stupid place, survivors shouldn't be able to just transfer from totem to totem without it being snuffed out. Sorry if I'm explaining myself badly, it's late my time.

Funny thing I played as a survivor earlier. And guess what we three gen'd ourselves in the swamp vs. a trapper. But we had a boon totem light across the map, and whenever we would get hit we would immediately go running towards the corner of the map and heal our self's, and quickly. This was how one my matches played out earlier, true story. Now imagine a SWF with even half a working brain, you see how this could be OP. Pretty sure circle of healing is going to be meta. Since it's an upgraded self-heal. And the thing is only one person needs to run it so everyone can have access to it. So this a S+ SWF perk without a doubt. And I'm not a killer main lol nor survivor main, this is just my two cents based on my gameplay experience during this PTB. And I actually like strong perks, but this I feel is OP.

I think that could be mostly taken care of with some changes to how killers can interact with totems, I put it slightly better here than I did in this thread https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/283694/more-strategy-for-boons-on-both-sides/p1?new=1
