PC - Holding BACKSPACE or DELETE Does Not Work In Chat

On PC in the chat box if you type something and change your mind you now have to keep tapping BACKSPACE or DELETE for every single character instead of being able to hold a key down and remove all characters before or after your cursor, as applicable, like you used to be able to.
This happens as both Killer and Survivor and doesn't matter what map was, it doesn't work in a Survivor Lobby or in after game lobby on either side.
