Prestige Rewards Rework - A New Take on "Bloody Cosmetics"

Disclaimer: I know that this is likely a lot more difficult for the developers to pull off on a technical level than I'm suggesting, but I think that its a great idea nonetheless. I hope that you like it!

Idea: Bloody Prestige as FILTER on ANY cosmetic instead of being singular cosmetic pieces.

Instead of having individual pieces that are, if we're going to be honest, limiting, why not have the Prestige rewards be a filter you can toggle on instead of an actual item?

For example.. When the Plague or Nemesis contaminates you, your survivor REGARDLESS of what you are wearing more or less has a filter applied to your model. Green splatter for Plague, Blue splatter for Nemesis.

This filter overlaps any cosmetic you're wearing, regardless if its a set, or an individual piece.

As it currently stands, people primarily prestige their characters in order to obtain the bloody cosmetics. They're a recolored version of the default, and while some people like these, they're also very limiting because you can't always show off your hard earned Prestige.

With Dead by Daylight moving in the direction of more creative freedom with Sets, its impossible to mix and match your Prestige 3 headpiece with some awesome outfits- which is a shame.

If Prestige worked as a filter however, you could toggle on if you'd want your Prestige bloody filter applied to any skin you're wearing. That way, you can play with that awesome new Kate skin, but she'd be splattered with blood as opposed to someone who doesn't have Prestige unlocked on that character wearing that skin.

Prestige is outdated, and many have pointed out that there needs to be a better reward for it. This seems like the perfect idea to me, to allow players to show off their hard earned Prestige on any cosmetic without limitations.

The technology is there. BHVR can do this and has shown it now with two different killers. It would more or less come down to the coding to be able to apply something like this before the match even starts.
