New Killer: The Spider
Based on the movie "Arachnophobia"
The Spider - aka The General, is a previously undiscovered species of Venezuelan spider which possesses nearly human levels of intellect and a malice for all non-arachnid living things. Despite having 3 venom sacks and a bite twenty times deadlier than a Black Mamba, the real danger the Spider poses is his ability to marshal and direct the movements of a legion of smaller spiders to entrap and envenom his prey.
Movement Speed - 4.6
Terror Radius - 20 meters
Height - Very Short (roughly Victor's size)
Animations - Similar to Pinhead, the Spider uses additional help to achieve his ends. Animations such as breaking a pallet or door are done by swarming it with spiders, which pull it apart. Rather than 'picking up' a downed survivor the Spider has his drones quickly spin a cocoon around them, which they drag on the ground before stringing them up on a hook.
Weapon - Spider Swarm. The general is always followed by a carpet of smaller spiders. When it wishes to attack, it and its minions leap through the air to bite unwary humans.
Power - Arachnophobia
Special Ability: Eyes Everywhere
The Spider is played with a 3rd person view, exactly like survivors. The Spider's 'red stain' is represented by a large red circle around him, rather than a frontal cone.
Special Ability: Weaving
The Spider and its drones place huge webs to catch careless survivors just like flies. This power has 3-5 charges and recharges over time. The webs are placed exactly like Freddy's Dream Pallets, taking the spot of any broken pallet and several narrow passages in every stage.
If a survivor touches the web for any reason, they are 'caught' similar to the Trapper's beartraps, but without inflicting any damage. The Spider immediately and constantly receives a Killer Instinct pulse alerting him to where the survivor is. A survivor who fails to escape from the web after 3 attempts (or 6-8 seconds) is injured by the spiders swarming all over them. Other survivors can free the trapped survivor normally, potentially before any damage is inflicted.
Webs can be 'torn down' by survivors. A single survivor can attempt to tear down a web WITHOUT stepping into it by holding the Left Mouse Button for a 5 second channel, with a a Very Difficult skill check at the end. If successful, the killer is not alerted. The . If unsuccessful, the killer is alerted with a single Killer Instinct pulse and survivor suffers a spider bite, injuring them as normal. In either case, the web is removed and the survivor suffers the "Arachnophobia" status effect, preventing them from tearing down any other webs for 45 seconds
Two survivors can work together to remove a web, one from each end. In this case, there is no skill check, the killer is not alerted, and neither survivor suffers from Arachnophobia at the end of the 5 second channel.

The idea being that his 'counter play' would be for players to use a buddy system to break webs where they find them, and free each other before getting damaged by his traps.

Well, the General is around the size of a large house cat, but yeah. Swarms of deadly spiders crawling all over ya instead of one big fella with a knife. Different sort of horror.
