Dead By Daylight DLC Idea: Among The Heartless. (Complete)

(Originally, I did only the Killer version for this DLC idea of mine but after some looking back, I figured Instead of going back to it, I figured i'd change it a bit. By that I mean shorten the Killer description significantly and add in both a Survivor and a new Map Idea. This might feature ideas from my other posts, so if you notice something similar, that's probably why. Any criticism and feedback is accepted and encouraged, as I'm interested in any and all feedback.)

Killer: The Witch (Alice Evergreen). Given new life by the Entity, the Witch is the deceased Alice Evergreen who was burned alive for her father's mistakes. Now carrying the undying flames of revenge, Alice seeks out her killers, hoping to fully exact her revenge. With a new set of powers, Alice has begun terrorizing survivor after survivor, hoping that one of them could satisfy her blood-lust. Her unyielding fury wielding takes form in the flames in her left hand, which can block the paths of other survivors and punish them for entering her flames, harming them and slowing them down should they brave her fire.

Killer Weapon: Blazed Chain (a short chain with a scythe-like blade at the end, permanently coated with her fire.)

Killer Ability: Wrathful Fire (Wrathful Fire allows her to summon a 4 meter tall wall of fire from at least 10 meters in front of her and lasts for 10 seconds. These flames can be passed through by other survivors, but should they brave the fire, they will suffer one state of damage and receive a 15% speed penalty for 3 seconds after escaping the fire, but they cannot be brought to the dying state. By passing through her own flames, she can move an extra 15% faster for 3 seconds. This ability has at least 3 charges and each charge takes 10 seconds to recharge fully. The Wrathful Fire can be summoned on the other side of a wall but cannot go through it. She also has a movement speed of 110%.)

Killer Perks:
The Witch comes with 3 unique perks that can damage survivors the longer the game progresses and helps secure certain survivors.

Overheat (Very Rare): Your desire to keep the survivors within your grasp empowers you immensely. After damaging a generator, The generator loses progress 20% faster than normal until either a survivor begins working on it or all progress is lost on the generator.
(This acts as yet another alternative to Hex: Ruin, Overcharge and Pop Goes the Weasel and helps regress generators in a different way).

Lingering Embers (Rare): Survivors struck by your blade still feel the burning steel on their skin. The groaning pains of Survivors are 25% louder and they suffer from the Hindered status effect for 30 seconds.
(This perk is mainly to be used in the chase and helps out in case the Survivor escapes.)

Marked by the Flames (Very Rare): Your hatred for a certain survivor awakens an infectious darkness. You become obsessed with one survivor. At the beginning of the match, the obsession starts off with a 3% bonus to action speed. However, any other survivor within a distance measured by 1/2 the Killer's Terror Radius is "cursed" with a 3% penalty to action speed. For every generator completed, each Survivor gets a 3% increase/decrease depending on who's the obsession up to a maximum of 15% whenever they're near the obsession. The only way to end the curse is for the obsession to either be sacrificed, killed, or escape.
(The main draw of this perk helps promote both anti-tunneling and can seriously impact the way survivors work together. It also serves as a late game powerhouse as long as the obsession is still alive and forces the other survivors to choose between saving the obsession or not. Also works with the 3 gen strategy.)

Survivor: Robin Hallmark (Seeking to give others the light and love her family once gave her, Robin Hallmark is a rising writer in fiction and romance. Despite the shadows in her life that still linger, the words of her family before their departure of the ship that would be the death of them still linger in her heart, pushing her to keep going and maybe find herself a true lover one day. After falling into the Entity's Domain, Robin now seeks freedom, and is determined to save as many lives as she can, just like how her family once saved hers.)

Survivor Perks:
(The Survivor's perks help strengthen certain Survivors and provide a second wind.)

Hopeless Romantic (Very Rare): Your charm isn't exactly top-tier, but it does inspire confidence in others. By performing the "Confession" action to another Survivor, you become "Attached" to that Survivor. As long as you are within 8 meters of the Survivor you're "Attached" to, both you and the other Survivor receive a 15% speed bonus to repairing, sabotaging and healing.
(This perk is basically Leader and Prove Thyself combined, then cut in half if that makes sense.)

Salvation (Rare): The pain of those around you encourages you to lend a hand. For every other survivor that is injured, gain a 10% bonus to healing speed, up to a max of 30%. Gain 100% bonus Bloodpoints in the Altruism Category. (This perk is kinda self-explanatory, but this helps if the Killer is attempting to slug.)

Angel of Mercy (Very Rare): You can never allow the Entity to take another, not after what you've seen. While running 5 meters near an injured Survivor being chased by the Killer, use the secondary action "Save" to dash in front of the Killer and take the blow. If you are injured after using the perk and are hit, gain Endurance for 30 seconds. This perk can be used only once.
(This perk is 1/2 Anti-tunneling and 1/2 Borrowed Time but has a one-time use as not to be too op.)

New Realm: Evergreen Mansion.
(This map is a little larger than average, around the size of the Backwater Swamp and has a more crimson color palette. It has 5 map locations to spawn in: The Desolate Mansion, Small River, Bloodied Forest, Father's Shack.)

With all of this, the "Among the Heartless DLC" that I made a couple months ago is finally complete. This whole thing might be a bit of a mouthful, but if you made it this far, thanks so much for reading through to the end. Please comment if you had any thoughts or changes you'd like to make. See you in the fog!

This is great! It would be nice to have a new perk that would cause the endurance effect, and this one is very effective for bodyblocking, which will really help to balance the game. Even so, killers that tunnel seem to have tunnel vision, so this could only have a small affect at times, making it less useful considering it can only be used one time. Another thing I noticed was the Speed boost and slow of the flames, as well as the damage it deals. I think the speed change is too much unless the Witch moves at a slower speed than other killers without her flames. If she moves at default killer speed, it seems that far too many survivors would take 2 hits in quick succession: one to the wall, and one to her weapon. Sorry if my amount of input is getting annoying, but I like this post enough that I want it to be as balanced as it can be. Other than these 2 things, I really like this post!

Lower the numbers in perks, salvation is fine tho, other than that i would really want this.

SolarFoxVB and MyNamePete thanks for the feedback. The plan was for the Witch to move at 110% movement speed, same as the Huntress and the Hag. As for "Angel of Mercy," yeah I can see that being a problem too. Originally I was gonna have the button appear right as the Killer would start attacking but that would probably be too small of a window to even attempt anyways.
Also, I think I'll try tweaking around the numbers for some of the perks really quick just to try and make it more balanced.

Now that I think about it, I guess the Witch has about the same balance as the Nurse does. If you're good with either of them, I highly doubt that anyone will escape. She doesn't seem as hard to master as the Nurse, but it seems like she has around the same potential.

I suppose so when you put in that way. I'm currently a Rank 3 Killer with the Trapper and he's probably my best Killer. After reading through previous fan creations and YouTube videos, I decided to try and come up with this one. One of my favorite things in games is choice and the Witch actually forces Survivors to choose. Either go around the flames and try to escape another way or run through the fire and risk the state of damage for the chance of a quick escape. If she could just block the path like normal or down people with her flames like I originally planned, she'd be broken.

In the long run, I could see her playing similarly to the Nurse and maybe even the Clown (to and extent) since her ability to win depends entirely on two things: her ability to predict where the Survivors will go and the willingness of Survivors to take risks. Can you predict where they'll turn? Do they tend to take this path more often? Does this Survivor keep running through my flames and does this one just keep turning left whenever I put up a flame? If someone dedicated their time to master the Witch, I don't have any doubt that she would at least be somewhere in the Top 5 for her sheer mind games alone.

Thanks for the feedback BTW everyone. I really appreciate it.

OOOOOOOO! I just thought of something important. How loud is the fire? I am highly focused on sounds when I play Dead by Daylight (I heard the slightest creak of a slow locker entry while I was on the game map after I hooked someone in the basement and came up the stairs, so I turned the corner and went into the bathroom and instantly found an Adam). If the fire is loud and far enough away, the survivor might juke me around said fire. That is, unless you can see through it, which is another thing I really want to know.

Also, if you want, maybe we could try to collab and make another chapter idea. I don't know how to do it from this site, but we could try it. If we did that, I'd probably leave the story to you and just criticize it later, then I would help with the perk and power ideas and numbers.
