This Will be my Last Post, and it's about Nemesis
After this post, I'm deciding to leave this forum for good. No matter how much any of us try, nothing will get to these people, or at least, the ones that give a damn. But hey, I might as well go out with one last Nemesis thread before I leave, because he's the Killer I've criticized so much in the past and he's the Killer that's disappointed me the most in the game because of how weak and unfinished he truly is.
And if there's actually a developer or two with some integrity left in their person reading this, hell, responding to this, you at least have my respect.
This is my last post, and it's balance changes for Nemesis that should have been in the game since the beginning.
The Nemesis
Zombies
- Quality of Life: Zombie pathfinding has been improved so that they stay 0.2 meters away from all solid objects.
- Quality of Life: Zombie pathfinding has been further adjusted so that they stay 0.4 meters away from corners.
- Quality of Life: If a zombie remains inactive for more than 30 seconds, they are instantly destroyed and replaced with a new zombie on a hook furthest from them.
- Buff: Zombies now react to the sound of Tentacle Strike within a 24 meter range.
Tentacle Strike
- Buff: Tentacle Strike now has a range of 6 meters in all tiers of Mutation.
- Buff: Cancellation cooldown time is reduced to 1 second.
- Nerf: Tentacle Strike no longer provides the Hindered Status Effect upon Contaminating Survivors.
Mutation III
- Buff: Tentacle Strike now injures uncontaminated Survivors in Mutation III.
- Buff: Tentacle Strike attack cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds in Mutation III.
- Quality of Life: Earning Mutation III now plays a quieter booming sound.
Contamination
- Buff: Contamination now causes the Survivor to cough every 12 seconds, during which time, they are given the Hindered status effect for 3 seconds.
Vaccines
- Nerf: The amount of Supply Cases has been increased to 6.
- Nerf: Vaccines now provide a 30 second immunity to Contamination when applied.
Add-Ons
Visitor Wristband
- Rework: Now increases Tentacle Strike range by 1 meter.
- Nerf: No longer increases zombie detection range.
S.T.A.R.S. Field Combat Manual
- Rework: Now increases Mutation Rate gain by 1 point whenever hitting Survivors with Tentacle Strike.
Admin Wristband
- Rework: Now increases Tentacle Strike range by 1.5 meters.
- Nerf: No longer increases zombie detection range.
Tyrant Gore
- Nerf: Additional Mutation Rate gained from destroying a Zombie is reduced to +0.25.
- Nerf: Zombie Respawn Time reduction is reduced to 3 seconds.
- Rarity: Tyrant Gore is now an Uncommon add-on.
Power Glove
- New Rare Add-On
- Increases the range that Zombies can hear Loud Noise notifications and Nemesis' Tentacle Strike by 24 meters.
- Zombie movement speed is increased by +0.5m/s for 30 seconds when this occurs.
T-Virus Sample
- Rework: Now increases Mutation Rate gain by 3 points whenever hitting Survivors with Tentacle Strike.
- Nerf: No longer increases Mutation Rate gain whenever destroying Zombies with Tentacle Strike.
Plant 43 Vines
- Buff: Now produces a Loud Noise notification whenever a Supply Case is unlocked.
Licker Tongue
- Rework: Now increases Tentacle Strike range by 2 meters.
- Nerf: Due to the fact Tentacle Strike doesn't Hinder Survivors, this does not increase the Hindered effect.
Nikolai's Laptop
- New Very Rare Add-On
- Whenever a Survivor is Contaminated, their Aura is revealed to you for 10 seconds.
- Whenever a Survivor coughs from Contamination within 16 meters of you, their Aura is revealed for 3 seconds.
Depleted Ink Ribbon
- Buff: When all 5 Generators are completed, Zombies that are destroyed now spawn at the Exit Gate switches.
Broken Recovery Coin
- Rework: Survivors who are injured will receive the Broken Status Effect for 60 seconds when using a Vaccine.
- Nerf: No longer removes Supply Cases from the Trial.
Epsilon Strain
- New Very Rare Add-On
- Survivors afflicted by Contamination suffer from the Oblivious Status Effect until vaccinated.
- Survivors afflicted by Contamination will now cough while doing objectives, cancelling out their progress.
Shattered S.T.A.R.S. Badge
- Rework: Removes every buff normally gained when achieving Mutation II and Mutation III.
- Rework: Whenever you gain a Mutation Tier, your movement speed is permanently increased by 5%.
- Nerf: No longer increases Zombie movement speed.
Iridescent Umbrella Badge
- Rework: Removes the ability to Mutate past Mutation I.
- Rework: Removes Zombies, Supply Cases and Vaccines.
- Rework: Removes the ability to Injure Survivors with Tentacle Strike.
- Rework: Whenever you hit a Survivor with Tentacle Strike, that Survivor suffers from the Exposed Status Effect for the next 20 seconds.
- Rework: Contamination will automatically remove itself after 90 seconds.
- Nerf: No longer causes Survivors to receive the Exposed Status Effect from Vaccines. It's pretty obvious why.
Removed Add-Ons
- Adrenaline Injector, Jill's Sandwich, NE-a Parasite
Anyway, I'm out of here. I'll probably check in for the next day or two to see how this thread pans out, but after that, I'm working on my own crap instead of trying to focus upon a game (and Killer) that many of the developers, based from what I'm seeing, don't truly care about.
But, here's my challenge to any developer reading this. Tell your colleagues to try this out and make a PTB of it. Just slap it together and see what it does.
I guarantee you that Nemesis will feel like the full character we deserve, with these changes.
