does the size of the M1 weapon matters?

I miss way more M1 hits with the Legion than with other killers (Doctor, Bubba, Trapper, Hillbilly, Shape)

I don't know if it is because He is a small killer and the camera position is lower than normal, or because he has a small knife.

    but freddys arm is short so if you look closely it actually extends to the normal weapon range kinda like with pinhead how his chain hit's closer then it looks

    No, the size does not matter, its why characters like the Oni appear to miss shots he should hit, and vice versa on spirit. Its also why freddy appears to have an oddly high range. The missing shots with legion are likely a coincedence.

    yes i would say the most fair weapon range is trapper because his weapon almost perfectly matches the hitbox around it
