What would happen if hooks were removed from the game?
As in you have to bleed out in order to die. Bleeding out would have to be adjusted. Unbreakable would be run by everybody. ######### ton of perks would have to be changed. Killers wouldnt have to worry about hooking people. Flashlights would be more or less gutted.
But other than completely reworking the game would it be good change?

This happen when blight got release. Killer had a bug where they could not hook

They would need to re-work the entire game at that point seeing as how the killer's main objective to kill revolves around hooks.

The only thing more boring than sitting on a hook while your teammates play the game is bleeding out on the ground.
To remove hooks from the game, you would have to rework it. As a horror game, its lack of kill animations is extremely disappointing. That is what it needs, not hooks. After injuring a survivor, the next hit is a kill animation. Then another survivor has to go to some location on the map and pull that survivor out of the entity's claws (they could do some great horrifying visuals there). The third time could be automatic real death, just like with hooks.
Other changes would have to be made (the killer not knowing where the survivor is to prevent a totally safe rescue would take away one of their big sources of pressure), like possibly during the trial there's not just the killer pressuring survivors but the entity in some way harassing them (this would give flashlights a new use, since the killer is no longer picking survivors up).
I don't like the hook mechanic, but changing it to be based on bleeding out would be much, much worse.

No Mither players seeing a Twins for the 16th game in a row be like

It would be incredibly boring for survivors getting slugged, but being on the hook is the same thing and you’re (a) stuck in place and (b) can die faster.

I think a bleed out main mechanic would be ultra boring. Why you wanna do that?
I once suggested to have trial wide hook counts, not personal. Like, I think on average the first kill is at 6th or 7th hook, the latest would be 9th which is kinda hard for killers, and less than 6 would be almost tunneling (4 or 3 is pretty much tunnleing).
So don't kill survivors on third hook but kill them when a survivor has beed hooked at least once and when it is the 6th or 7th hook in the game. No tunneling necessary anymore, you don't need to take care who you hooked or not, just go get your downs, and those poor survivors have more chances to have a decent game

pyramid would be only killer with his cages
and other killers will slug u to death and keep downing you til you bleed out

I like the shared hook mechanic, makes it more of a “team game” which is already taken into account with SWF.
But you’re gonna have people crying saying “nooo, I don’t want to die because other people are bad in chase”. Well guess what? That already happens in current DBD - if your teammate gets tunneled out quick then the killer will automatically have more pressure and a higher chance of 4K’ing.

and as I said you should only die if you are second hook. so you have at least 2 chases you need to lose, so it is not only your mates killing you

That would also work.
