What if Boon Totems required completing a generator to activate?
basically, after completing a generator, you'd gain the ability to put one down. A little like repressed alliance.
Thoughts?

I don't think boon perks need a pre-requisite to being able to cleanse a totem. They just need to be one time uses like hex perks. Survivors already have more control to where they place their boon totems and each survivor can bless their own totems.

My ideal is a cooldown, but a prerequisite is fine.

I will say the idea to have some activation condition is interesting.
maybe even you gotta cleanse a totem before you can bless another totem? That way it would be very limited and will give the perk Clairvoyance a synergy with Boons!
(though this would be really bad for soloQ compared to SWF and 5 totems seem way too few..)

I don't believe there should be any type of prerequisite to trigger the Boon perk. However, I would suggest once a totem has been lit and a killer snuffs it out, then that survivor can no longer place a Boon totem. Make it a one time only perk.

I think the killer stomping the boon should break the totem

I think that hex totems should overpower boon totems, such as the totem lit up with undying or noed, they shouldn't have a prerequisite but a totem being a boon totem shouldn't make a killer's perk not activate
