Styptic Agent: Best use scenario??

So I've been using Styptic Agent on a brown medkit for several matches, and it seems to me that it is only good in very specific situations.

More than likely you will use it on yourself and when you are in chase while injured. You can't use it immediately after you stop sprinting; you need to be at a dead stop and wait about half a sec for the use medkit prompt to show.

So when you are looping the killer and figure out that you will get hit, you can't afford to be at a dead stop, wait half a sec then use your styptic; you will get hit before you get the chance to use it.

The only situation I see where it can be useful is if you accidentally run to a dead zone, you can use the styptic to give yourself 8 sec of immunity (or the killer hits you), then you can run to a loop/jungle gym, etc..

Unless I am wrong, but I am open to suggestions.

The best use of a Styptic Agent involves Breakout and quite possibly MOM, which should tell you all you need to know

A lot of killers will respect it and wait it out. I'd say the best use case scenario is using the 8 seconds of the killer not hitting you to get somewhere like a pallet.

However you can also use it against killers that can hit you without line of sight - namely Nurse and Spirit. If a spirit's phasing, you might be able to use it and then once they gain LOS they'll hit you. Same with Nurse, if you go around a corner and a nurse blinks right on top of you, they usually won't think twice unless they are baiting dead hard or something.
