I’m not usually petty but this is a little belittling..
I enjoy tons of different streamers and there’s no denying that plenty of them climbed to an admirable standing in the Dbd community through hard work and dedication. It’s not an easy accomplishment and there’s no doubt that they can have significant influence over viewers, both positive and negative..
But..
I, along with others have been a part of Dead by Daylight equally as long or even much longer than many Twitch streamers. I’ll get to the point.. If someone doesn’t stream, wasn’t able to continue live streaming, or wasn’t able to grow a substantial viewer base.. are they considered less important? There are cosmetics in-game added specifically for certain individuals and some of them jumped ship and either don’t play at all anymore or if they do it’s rare. Some of us have literally been around thousands of hours longer through thick and thin but there’s no special little medal sent our way.
Sure, I might sound like a petty little baby but it’s hard not to feel like a lesser human being. If someone already has something like a Twitch shirt and it’s being extended to other characters for them then at least allow dedicated fans to do the same.. create an opportunity to grind a cosmetic on our character of choice into a unique iconic legendary version with 3-5 options that can’t be altered or bought.. offer a chance to work towards something that could become a rare sight for others while you wear it with pride to show off your love, support, and dedication to BHVR/DBD.
Maybe BHVR could create a suicide prevention or fight against cancer program where people can sign up and dedicate their grind to increase awareness and support.
I’d love to grind for a cosmetic that is as recognizable as Legacy but it screams out something like “hey, you’re not alone and I’m here fighting along your side”.
If I queue into a match wearing my suicide prevention cosmetic for example that says “I’m here if you need someone” then give them an opportunity to communicate with you and play some games together to help get through some tough times.. I think that would be wonderful.
The concept might sound foolish or flawed but maybe it’s not entirely absurd and could be a saving grace..

If you are talking about those Twitch shirts, everyone should have access to them. No idea what they were thinking, but whatever it is, they were on the same stuff when they decided not to reskin Hawkins. Super questionable decisions...
As for the suicide prevention, I can dig it. Love the idea.

I might be reading this wrong but I don't see how playtime benefits cancer/suicide prevention charities. Couldn't they just do cosmetics for that like they have done with the pride flag charm?

They stopped doing this a long long time ago.

Damn I legit had the same thought.. just reskin Hawkins so the layout is the same or almost exactly the same but remove all hints of Stranger Things. People had their gripes with it but they goes for every map etc. Definitely would love the general layout to remain in the game.
You also nailed it. I brought up how many hours more someone might have to try and get my point across but in truth there should be a greater showing of equality amongst everyone. Especially when it comes to something like the Twitch shirts. Also you’d think twitch would want everyone to have access to further exposure.
The suicide prevention idea on the other hand I have always thought of that being something that could be implemented and it would be something anyone could sign up for willingly, earn and keep your unique cosmetic if you are active in the program and be a constant visual reminder that anyone going through a rough isn’t alone.. that people care and it’s okay to lean on each other.

It's cause you don't actively make them money assuming you haven't or bought all the DLC.
