What if Patrick wasn't kidding in the Q&A?
So I just got out of yet another game with cheaters and it has occurred to me that the, supposedly, hyperbolic statement of the Lead Game Designer is a genuine reality for many of us several times a day.
To quote the man himself on the feedback behind the Survivor experience: "...I was playing a game of Survivor and I looped the Killer for seven consecutive hours and I unhooked eighteen other Survivors and I healed for ninety-three health states, I fixed ten generators, it was such an amazing game, I truly am a god amongst men when I play Dead by Daylight..."
No, seriously. There's several cheaters in this game that are so well known, some people recognize them by their names and we've yet to hear anything said on the matter. Though unlike with MMR, there's an objective issue at hand. I imagine that Mods have their hands tied on how much they can say on the matter, if anything, so what's the strategy here? Complain enough until the issue has to be addressed and they're allowed to talk to us? Wait until we're blessed with a "We are aware of the situation and are actively working to fix it" tweet? How sad.

He was exaggerating, as someone who has been taken hostage vs a cheater, matches only last 2 hours max, the match ends.
And yes, I'm a very stubborn person, so yes, I didn't dc and stay in the match until the script kiddy left.
So yes, for anyone wondering how long you can stay in a match.
2 hours is the max, the server/match/ whatever you want to call it ends.

Lmao, I'll be sure to make the time when I'm about to play a game.

I was playing botw on my switch for that time.

2 hours is a pretty generous time for developers who suspend killers when survivors refuse to do generators. Surely just waiting out the 2 hours would be fine because the game is technically progressing.

Do you remember how much experience you received for that match? Experience is based on time so you should’ve gotten alot of it

Yup, honestly I would be fine if the match automatically ended in 30 minutes not 2 hours.
I understand why there is a dc penalty but script kiddies punish killers and now a days there are a lot so there is nothing we can do if we don't want to be punished.
I even started dodging people with private profiles because of them.

I don't remember honestly, I was just happy that I was able to play again, I usually leave as fast as I get into the end game chat.

It caps at 10 minutes, I believe. So sadly anything past that is just a waste of time.
