Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Imma Try A Hex Perk Idea With A DRASTIC Effect To Early Game...

Here's my usual disclaimer: I simply like making ideas, i'm not saying i think it should be an actual thing.

Hex: Bla

At the start of the Trial, Hex: Bla is applied to all remaining Dull Totems. (If you bring 2 or more Hex Perks including Hex: Bla, the other Hex Perks would pick Dull Totems first.)

For every Totem that Hex: Bla is tied to, the Entity puts Entity Blockers on a randomly chosen Generator indefinitely.

  • Survivors can see all Hex Totem Auras for as long as Hex: Bla is blocking at least 1/2/3 Generator(s).
  • After successfully repairing a Generator or cleansing a Hex: Bla Hex Totem, all Survivors see the Aura of the Generator that became unblocked for 5 seconds.
  • Successfully repairing a Generator will also turn a randomly chosen Hex: Bla Hex Totem back into a Dull Totem.

Some things to think of...

  • Detective's Hunch - The Perk states that the Auras need to be revealed by DH in order to be added to the Map, and so it wouldn't add them to the Map using Hex: Bla's Totem Auras.
  • Hex: Haunted Ground - Hex: Bla would not apply to the Dull Totem that's made from Hex: Haunted Ground being cleansed, it only applies to Dull Totems in the beginning of the Trial.
  • Hex: No One Escapes Death - Combining this with Hex: Bla is possible, but the only way you could have this activate is the following...
  1. A Survivor must bless a Hex: Bla Hex Totem.
  2. You must remove said blessing.
  3. It needs to stay a Dull Totem, at least at the moment that the Exit Gates are powered.
  • Hex: Plaything - Probably even more annoying to make use of when combined with Hex: Bla, but again: Still possible. The process is pretty much the same as with H: NOED, except that you now need to hook someone for the first time while a Dull Totem is still up, so good luck with that.
  • Hex: Undying - Pretty interesting: You'd give up 1 blocked Generator because Hex: Undying needs a spot, but if the first successful cleanse is a Hex: Bla Hex Totem, then the Generator will be blocked for an additional cleanse.

Every other Perk that has anything to do with Totems would pretty much not change.

This is pretty insane, looking at it now.

Wonder how absolutely broken this would be with Corrupt Intervention...
