Mikaela broke the Entity's own rules
The Entity exclusively uses dark magic and no Survivor in the game has been shown to have any supernatural powers while in the Entity's realm (except Cheryl, but she's just channeling the Entity).
My theory is that the Entity is well aware of light magic and has intentionally kept any source of it out of its realm. Part of the reason the Entity is so powerful is because it cuts off everyone from exploiting its weakness.
"Mikaela pointed at the night sky and said that no darkness was truly beyond light. Even on this moonless night, the sky shined with long-dead stars. A thick black fog engulfed Mikaela, to the audience's amazement. No one saw Mikaela Reid again."
The Entity assumed Mikaela was a fraud or her magic was weak enough to block while in the realm... yet she actually honed her skills and was the first character to successfully cast light magic to use against the Entity and its Killers. Mikaela is now the chink in the Entity's armor casting magic independently and using it to hide herself and help others breaking the Entity's established rules.

This would imply the entity has a greater sense of self and morality. "Dark" and "Light" magic are more an extent of moral nuance, the idea that certain magic carries an aura of evil or of purity. Comparatively the entity is more like a semi-sentient force of nature. Cheryl can channel it despite being a "good guy" because the entity is both a life form and a form of usable power. We've gotten further examples of the entities usable power from characters like talbot, who effectively created a super soldier serum out of blight secretions. The entity allows this "light magic" because it is a further extension of its own will and power. Totems are a direct link to the entity, killers call upon the entity to hex the totems and grant them its influence. Mikaela does much the same, blessing a totem to call upon the entities influence in favor of the survivors. It has no greater sense of morality, of good or evil, it simply follows whatever path feeds it the most. All other considerations are utterly secondary to it. This is why survivors with supernatural links (Cheryl, Mikaela) can utilize its power, to an extent. If it did not desire mikaela to perform such magic, or felt threatened by it, she would be taking a swift vacation to the void.

Tbh I never felt Kate was all that powerful she’s just pretty and a really nice humble country. Though with how hideous they made her recently I wish I could change my name to Yun-Jin_best_girl . I guess one thing Kate holds highly over Mikaela is Kate isn’t a wannabe e girl

Thing is.. you are making jokes about people that have nothing to do with Mikaela? She has nothing to do with tik tok or similar social media platforms and nothing indicates she is promoting herself as Wiccan or anything like that. Even her being a writer is something she made more for herself and her best friend pushed her to go out with it.

in the lore it is stated she is interested in witchcraft with some examples. She never calls herself actually a witch. And its very well stated that she is producing lotions and soaps with herbs and stuff for friends and family and she hopes she can one day live of that. How is that related to Etsy?
also, keep in mind, we are talking about a world where supernatural stuff is very much real (the Entity being an actual thing and all...).
