Pinhead brings a whole new meaning of hell to Solo Queue

I think I'm a decent Survivor. I know how to loop decently well, I know which gens when to do and how.

But I guess I'm stuck in Elo Hell or something because out of nowhere my games took a nosedive. I've died a few too many times to end game camping or being left on the first hook, so I guess the SBMM deems me garbage and puts me with ######### teammates again.

Survivor has been nothing but terrible all ######### day. Three Hags, all the type that don't know their traps can go other places then under the hook, two Nemesis', but the worst has been Pinhead.

Hasn't he been out for long enough that Survivors realize they need to go for the box? So why am I the only one to ever do it? How come they would rather try and do a gen right next to the box than do the ######### box?

I don't think Pinhead is overpowered at all. I think he can be strong in the right hands but is hard to use so he's generally easy to go against. But when your teammates just refuse to do the goddamn box, he is easily one of the worst experiences in this game. Hell, I don't even blame the endgame camping- The only reason I'm at all frustrated by camping is by the fact it's put me in this ######### elo hell. For a while my Survivor games were better. For a while.

Alright, rant over. Sorry, I know plenty of people already hate on SBMM I just really needed to vent.

He's certainly raised a bit more than just Hell.

Like my frustrations with this game.

The problem I have with Pinhead is that his actual, skill based ability is simply to weak for the effort it takes, but his passive is arguably too strong.

I hope that the devs change Pinhead by buffing his possessed chains in a few ways, to make their average use case simply a bit more effective and therefore rewarding, and then nerf the box for solo survivors by having the aura of all survivors, that are within, lets say, a 32 meter range of the box, revealed to all survivors in the match. And when chain hunt starts, maybe even have all survivors auras revealed to each other map wide.

This would help solo survivors be able to better judge whether they should go for the box or not. The biggest problem I see is that in solo queue, sometimes multiple survivors go running to the box, and other times nobody gets the box. SWF teams, at least 3 and 4 man swf teams, don't have that problem.

And then on the other hand, Pinheads actual ability that takes a good amounf of skill, is better and more effective in chases when buffed, which would arguably make him more viable against the really good survivor teams, especially swf, but not as oppressive against solo teams, or survivor teams with not as much experience.

I hope they buff his chains but leave the box alone. Against survivors with brains in their heads, unless your running hoarder+franklins and range add ons, it's not difficult for them to solve it. We shouldnt be adjusting the game for solos because swf is too damn strong.

I honestly have no idea what Pinhead's power is. I left the game before he was even announced.

    However...

Since I started playing DBD back in 2018, most of my Survivor experience was solo, which means that I would have to face him as a solo player eventually. And judging by your comment, I am not missing much.

Not related to your main point but since you mentioned the hags, see if you can count how many traps frosty lisa put around me in this beautiful match from the other day

There's also two not in view, one to my right, and one behind that wall

I definitely disagree. I want Pinhead to become generally a bit stronger, but you can't make him even stronger without making him insufferable for solo survivors teams, at least those that aren't that experienced yet.

If he does end up still not being strong enough with the changes I suggested, they could still further buff him in other ways. But having him be strong because he is stronger against solo survivor teams than swf teams is not the ideal solution. Otherwise he is either overpowered against solo survivors or underpowered against swf survivors. To a much greater degree than the average killer of course.

I don't think his problems should be adressed without the problems of solo survivor teams going against him being addressed.

Just be the one to pick up the cube most of the time. Pick it up when he downs a survivor or picks up a survivor. 9 times out of 10 by the time he gets them on a hook, you would have already completed it.

Pinhead is also easy to loop outside of a chain hunt.

Try going for hatch/gates and being last one alive until you get better teammates. Make it your priority no matter how hard it might go against your nature.
