They got hit by the ban wave and are mad, there is a lot of it and it is mildly annoying but \0/

It's because they'll keep doing it for the simple reason they get paid to post scam links and are paid by the view and number of posts. So the more people that view the thread the more they'll keep doing it figuring they'll sucker someone eventually.
Once the devs change the forum report option to how League of Legends does it whee you can simply right click and report the thread. Once they do that the thread gets no views and once enough reports get put in against it the thread gets hidden for mods to look at.
The spam filter catches quite a bit but if they tighten it up enough to catch it all normal users will get flagged constantly.

I notice that the spam is all from the same user. Then it stops. Then there's more spam from a single user, but with a slightly different jumble of letters in their username.
This leads me to believe that they've had their IP banned, but just use a VPN or something to register a new account and spam.
Also, why bookmark the spam? Misclick?
