Hurdles for Hackers

Since Dead by Daylight has adopted SBMM, I have encountered more hackers than I ever did with the prior matchmaking system. I believe players that tend to float to the higher echelons of the MMR likely have similar experiences. I have no confidence in Easy Anti-Cheat being able to fix these issues given how long they've been around.

Dead by Daylight was developed in Unreal Engine 4, and has easy anti-cheat as its primary anti-cheat system. Although EAC does most of the heavy lifting, it is possible that the developers themselves could pick up just a bit of slack that could make a bit of difference.

Writing multiplayer games in the Unreal Engine relies on RPCs: Remote Procedure Calls. The Unreal Engine also has validation functions for each individual RPC should a developer choose to mark an RPC as "WithValidaiton" inside the UFUNCTION declaration parameter (Assuming the RPC is written in C++ and not blueprints).

With RPC validation, important information could be checked against known constraints, and if any of this information is beyond said constraints, kick the client from the server. For example, survivor movement speed is 100%. Exhaustion perks and taking damage set the survivors movement speed to 150% for a short period of time. It is not possible for survivors' movement speed to exceed 150% unless they are cheating. If the RPC validation function detects the survivors' movement speed to be greater than 150% at any point in the match, that survivor would automatically DC.

I do not know if Dead by Daylight has validation for its RPCs already, forgive me if they do, but I think they could help the developers deal with hackers just a bit better. Here is the Unreal Engine RPC documentation if you're curious.

Survivor can move faster than 150%. You need to get hit while have Hope, Adrenaline and boost from Clown's Antidote. Rare case but you definitely can get more than 150% speed boost.
