BHVR PLEASE!!!!!
Make Hillbilly Great Again!
Comments
-
Then the low to mid tier survivors would cry again.

From what I remember, barely anyone cried about billy in the first place.

Damn I miss the old cooldown animation. This wobbly camera ######### that he has now is annoying.

Got plenty of rage in game back then and assume they cried on twitter since that is where the dev's live.

Now that you mention it, I feel like I remember seeing "nerf billy" comments, however I didn't expect the developers to react so seriously.

I didn't like old billy back then because I felt he was too simple. Which looking back and realising now I main a guy that shoots a gun and nothing else, was a pretty stupid opinion.
2 -
What killed him for me was the additional noise notification for survivor to dodge aka his nerve grinding annoying repetitive roar.
I can just barely tolerate Oni's enrage and have given up on playing demo screaming every 5 seconds.

Did they really care more about Billy than Leatherface? Seems weird to me, but I wasn't around...

I still don't understand why they made hillbilly's overheat so much more noticeable then the other chainsaw guy who can literally down multiple people at the same chainsaw sprint.

It was a killer that really did not need any nerfs. He was played by many and now he is almost like Twins and Plague..never seen.

I miss old hillbilly I never get to play against him anymore and he honestly was fun to play against.

Because Bubba cannot sprint across the Map with 230% Movement Speed.
The Overheat is justified, Billy had and still has the best mobility in the game and an fairly easy to use Instadown. It should be obvious that a Killer who is called "the most balanced Killer" by the Community in 2018 is not "the most balanced Killer" in 2020 when the game got much easier for Killer.
And I think, more people would play Billy if they would revert the changes to his animation and fix the size of his Chainsaw-Hitbox. It is massive, which is frustrating as Survivor, but also makes him crush into things far more often.
But the animations and the FOV are the main things. Second can be somewhat fixed with Shadowborn (at least my Billy-experience got better after using Shadowborn), but it is a Perk Slot for something which was not needed before.

The roar and the volume increase on the chainsaw. The chainsaw was tolerable before and a lower tone, now it basically causes hearing damage.

Leatherface was really weak before the buff.

Yes but camping. You can literally hold your chainsaw so much more then hillbilly can.
The Overheat wasn't made for the mobility it was for the constant use at loops iirc. Also most people said that hillbilly was still considered balanced even in 2020 except for the addons. Not the basekit. The addons.
I'm pretty sure people will play hillbilly more if they fixed animation and fixed hitboxes but It won't bring back that many due to addon's being kinda bad.

Tbf his add ons are also atrocious right now. Only lopro chains and buffed engravings are actually good

those were good times. 😥

his insta saw is what made him simple to use

I would say he is still the most balanced. The only thing that got easier over the years is survivor getting knocked down a few notches when they removed double pallets, vacuum pallets, any direction fast vaults. All that just made other killers able to get kills other than nurse or billy. But especially now he could definitely go without overheat. Cause apparently using your chainsaw twice is "overusing your power"
