NOED more problematic than ever with new MMR
Hey gang, so it's become pretty apparent to me that the monthly reset resets mmr as well as rank, as the survivors I've been getting as a killer have been brand new/not good however I ran into something interesting tonight.
4+ games in a row I have had now with a killer who wasn't very good (like SERIOUSLY bad) and at the end, they ALWAYS have NOED. I'm guessing since the ranked reset the easiest way to secure kills/climb mmr is to use NOED. BHVR as much as the old mmr system wasn't perfect it was MUCH better than going off kills alone, these guys are probably de-pipping and getting like 2k bloodpoints but they all are running NOED. As a result, my games have been super easy and boring as survivor and they're probably frustrated as hell when they go the entire match getting 1-2 hooks at most only cheesing out 1-2 kills at the end.
PLEASE look into reworking/removing NOED next patch, I'm super glad you addressed keys but NOED is super unhealthy for the game, ESPECIALLY given the current MMR system rewards only kills.

Maybe you wouldn't whine about NOED if you did more than just gens? Like... let's see totems?
Quite a double edged sword you used there.
NOED is fine, it is an end game perk with high risk/reward. Being a 3 perk killer throughout the game for a Hex at the end of the match.
You outclass your opponents do you not? Just find the lit totem at the end and cleanse it, run the killer and use the door...

Once Boon totems are out, survivors will not be cleansing so Noed will be even more powerful.

NOED can't spawn on a boon totem, so all survivors have to do is cleanse one dull totem if they don't want it to spawn, assuming four boons are up. While that's not that likely, it's about as likely as all five dull totems being broken, so NOED is going to be in the exact same spot.

That's interesting. What if the killer squishes a boon totem after the gens are done, will that activate Noed?
If so, it might make sense for survivors to leave the dull totem alone and come back and cleanse it if Noed is in play.

My understanding is that the killer would have to squish the boon just before the last generator is finished, otherwise NOED won't spawn. Which is a possibility, but that also isn't really making NOED stronger since the killer has to guard a totem and savvy survivors will know that's where NOED spawned.

It's worth mentioning all of these games were 3 or 4 man escapes, NOED was sometimes cleansed straight away and sometimes the survivors just left, I want to make it clear I'm not calling them bad for using NOED, they were just genuinely not a threat throughout the match and seemed way out of their depths and at the end it turned out all of them had NOED, it wasn't fun watching all 5 gens just fly and then 1 guy getting downed with NOED and everyone leaving, would rather actually get chased and have some back and forth in my games

as unfair as noed is - its biggest sin is actually the fact it makes games somewhat more boring for both killer (get a hook and facecamps to secure the kill) and survs (they see noed - they abandon attempts to save and leave), i agree with Mogul here

Worst case scenario If a killer runs NOED and gets soft looped the entire game with no hooks, downs and kills all 4 survivors during egc with noed still up that to me is an issue not for the survivors necessary but that killers SBMM goes up for relying on perk and not raw mechanical skill.. that’s the flaw in f this MMR lmao.
