I requested a refund just to send a message to Steam about it. If I get money back, that'd be a bonus. Either way, I'm unisntalling.

Slightly unrelated to the topic, Steam's policy for refunds is that you must have less than 2 hours of playtime and you must have requested your refund less than two weeks after your purchase. If you fulfill both of these prerequisites, you're basically guaranteed a refund.
Considering I bought the game 5 years ago in 2016 and have racked up an insane amount of hours since then... I think that's beyond the scope of my capability.
But at the very least I can still say in five years I don't think BHVR has ever ######### up this bad before.
