I've been considering uninstalling this game for awhile, but this NFT ######### broke the camels back.
I'm sick of Behaviors bullshit and their ineptitude at handling their own damn game.
It's a shame, really, to see the game I loved fall so far. I'll likely forget DbD eventually, but I'll never forget all the friends I've made through it, like all you wonderful people on here. That's why I won't be leaving the forums, I've got too many ties here. But as for the main game itself?

Same. I'll miss it, but recently, all its done is make me frustrated when I play it. I know it'll be for the best if I let it go.
If by some miracle, if the devs actually start improving the game again, then I'll probably return.

Wow- is this NFT thing really that bad? I still don’t fully understand how it works. Do we have reliable sources indicating foul play on the devs part?
Personally I’m not ok with ANY type of data mining due to its effect on climate change, but what are the other negatives?

They straight up misled (or flat-out lied to) the community regarding their involvement.

I'm in the ssme boat as you. Been with the game for years (joined when Clown was added) non-stop, then I started to play less and less by the time Deathslinger was released and then settled into a on and off relationship. Where I'd play for a few weeks then stop, rinse and repeat.
While I haven't been here thru everything or every patch, I've been thru some pretty big highs and lows. But no matter what change or new additions I wasn't on board for...nothing comes close to this decision from the company. It's just so repulsive, greedy, disgusting and tone deaf as all hell. No amount of backpeadling or apologies can undo this and the real face of the company. Like yeah, every company of every product isn't really our friend and exist to make & sell products for us to buy....but this steps over the line big time for myself.
Gonna miss the game, the fun games as my mains and second mains. Michael Myers, Ghostface, Pig, Oni, Legion, Spirit, Leatherface, Hag, Huntress and even Clown(tho I sucked as him). Was even going to start practicing Pyramid Head more and eventually get Nemesis & Pinhead to play (which I didn't get yet) and now I just can't see myself doing so. I can't support this company and their actions, giving them money, player count numbers or any publicity outside of what I type on the forums. This was THEE multiplayer game for me too....

Yeah, I've been playing since March 2018 and boy has it been difficult to play lately.
5K hours and I'm almost thinking of retiring. But then that would mean the game is winning and that's not allowed 🙃
