Filtering out BBQ
So this has nothing to exactly do with the new update but more so a playstyle. Slowly but surely I've recently been filtering out BBQ, taking it out of my builds and replacing them with different perks that support my aggressive playstyle. In the past it was a must have but now it feels like it isn't worth the space it takes up. A lot of the time it doesn't even reveal survivors all that well because they're behind a gen and the extra bloodpoints have started to feel nonexistent.
Has anyone else gotten rid of BBQ? If so what have you replaced it with in your universal builds?

I can't wait to replace BBQ when my need for double BP goes away. I am eyeballing Thrilling, Deadlock, Nurses for replacing.

BBQ in my playing has usually functioned mostly as just information. Not in the context of who your next target is. But in the context of who is close to the hook going for a rescue. I care very little about seeing 2 other survivors across the map on a gen. I care that I cant see the 3rd on BBQ. So I know to check CLOSE locations first. If I find a close survivor and I know 2 others are far, that means one survivor has to cross map and waste a load of time for the rescue.
So in that regard BBQ is not gone from my perk lists. But it is very killer dependent. I use it almost 100% of games as Nurse and Blight. I use it maybe half the time on Doc or Michael. And I basically never use it on Slinger, Trapper, or Legion

I replace BBQ for most killers after I finish the never ending grind through 5-6 pages of perks. Until they rework the webs and the perk grind, it's never going to go away.

I actually just started unlocking BBQ on my Killers after nearly 1000 hours of playtime (granted, not all of that was on Killer of course, but still). I actually don't like using it that much and I've never used it on Nurse (my former main). I have it unlocked now for Demogorgon and Pig but I only feel like using it on Demogorgon. It is very nice to get big BP though!

I stopped using BBQ for a long time when I got my first P3 survivor with all perks in addition to all survivor and killer teachables. Being able to "use" that 4th slot felt liberating.
These days I do consider BBQ for when I want to eat through hook states. I consider BBQ as a mainstay on Legion and Nemesis in particular. With those killers I like to kill the survivors faster than they can slam the gens. Legion for example, my main build is BBQ, Lethal Pursuer, Agitation Starstruck.
Lethal shows me the way--->down and use BBQ to show me the way yet again---> instadown with Starstruck--->Use BBQ Again

I will replace it after another 200 million BP, until then I will use it in every build on every killer

I'm still running it on my No Ruin or Pop Demogorgon build but when I need a good info perk Tinkerer is my go-to

I'll still use it on Pig to catch someone at a Box. ;)

Grind is too much to give up +100% bp.

Nock out out is better to not let them now were there teammates are rush them off Gene's and get some hits in then go back to survivor hook or wack him down again and rush the won that picked him up

It's REALLY effective on him. That, Trail of Torment, and Dragon's Tooth with his undetectable and aura reading add ons are a part of my Zero Radius 'Gorgon

I've never heard of a Zero Radius Demogorgon build and I don't know how it supposed to work with Demogorgon' s loud footsteps

I need the BP too badly to take it off unfortunately

Stopped using it for BP when I gave up on hooking.

I don't really run any tracking perks unless I just want BP with BBQ. Game sense will replace tracking perks. Just takes practice to train your brain to keep track of spawns, players, etc.
Tracking perks don't really do anything once you know where survivors are, and you know where survivors are based on experience/game sense. Plus there are certain instances where you shouldn't be patrolling far away gens, so what good is BBQ or Discordance doing telling you players are on the other side of Suffo Pit?
Think of a standard chase. You probably pass two gens. Make note of their progress. You hook by another gen and check its progress. You have intel on 3 gens before you would even make use of a tracking perk. And you'd probably walk by two more gens after hooking on your way to check a 3rd off the distance.

Aura reading is still pretty useful for me with Blight. On most killers I just use it for the blood points tho, cuz f the grind.

I only ever use it for the BP.
Otherwise, I always take something else. Always makes me laugh how some survivors think BBQ is the most OP perk alongside NOED.

It basically punishes gen progress by giving you Undetectable status based on how much work is done on a gen, which is pretty loud the closer you get to them. Loud enough for consistent jump scares and one shot downs if a gen is tunneled. Also really useful when it pops during a chase.

Sounds fun

The 100% extra BP is just too good to pass on. They could remove the aura reading and I'd still use it.

Bbq is really only good for the extra blood points. Yes it is nice to be able to see where the survivors are for 5 seconds after a hook. But the extra bp is the only reason I use it

They are purposely updating the game to slowly remove Killer meta perks, through nerfing them.
Wish they would do the same for Survivors. Killers are not an issue.
