What was the nerf to the spirit? she is still the same ..
I play on console and she sounds the same as before. Or is it mandatory to wear headphones to play against her?. She's still fast, you don't know where she's coming from. It's literally playing against an invisible killer

You probably won't get much mileage out of the directional audio change if you're not wearing headphones or using a surround sound speaker system.

That shouldn't matter. Survivors have always said the only problem with Spirit is not know when she's phasing. You can hear when she phases and now where she's at while doing it. If you're still having problems after that change and the serious neefs to her add-ons, it's all due to your skill level.

Yes, you need headphones. If you wear headphones you can very clearly hear where she is coming from.

Omg are we seriously going to complain about her? People please just move on to a new killer to backlash!

Hate to say I told you so.

They won’t stop until she’s actually unfun to play as. It’s not supposed to be easy mode for survivors everyone.

Don’t worry, Blight is next

Any other killer would be good. I’ve been wanting for the Spirit hate to end for too long now.

It never will. They've been trained with Spirit specifically to think she's so OP she can't be beat, even though every bit of data shows otherwise. They've also been taught it's acceptable to d/c or 1st hook death against her. Eventually the devs will cave, again, and they won't actually have to improve their skills.

So pretty much until she’s janky and unfun to play, they’ll keep complaining?

That's what I think anyway. Remember, BHVR is still holding on to another nerf for her with the dust kicks. It wouldn't surprise me if they decide she needs them and also bring in some more adjustments when they add it.

Unless they give her a good buff to compensate, they better not add that in.

With headphones you can visually pinpoint her position with the audio, she's gonna need some very casual survivors to mindgame now

This is true, but it goes both ways.
I hope they leave her like she is now. Sound is way enough.
Headphones help in DBD like they help in any type of multiplayer FPS or similar. The problem is, that with TV sound, all sound comes from infront of you (except if you have a 5.1 or 7.1 system), wich makes it very very difficult to hear.

She is no longer brain dead to face, unless you don't use headphones. It's still better because you're notified of the phasing, but you'll miss out on the direction.
Not to mention the strong green addons are gone, and replaced with neat (but 1 TRASH) addons with new effects.

If you're referring to audio tracking, maybe with casuals or no headphones, but I'm still seeing my teammates with Iron Will so that tracking is leaning pretty far in Survivor favor. Don't use iron will myself but the audio cues are enough provided I stay away from week loops.

whatever happened to the kick up dust the devs wanted to implement? they got cold feet on that one?

It wasn't able to be implemented on the PTB in time, so then they decided to just let the directional phase walk noise go live by itself to see how things went.

Just like what they did to deathslinger. Never touching him again until changes are reverted.

You realize DBD is supposed to be played with headphones, don't you?
2 -
Killers aren’t balanced unless you can clearly tell where they are at all times while listening to a playlist with the game audio muted :)

I knew it in the beginning. The change bare affect her.
The change only heavily affected at shack and long distance phase. You still cant do anything with short phase
