Deathslinger is unplayable now...

The nerf for him was completely unfair, not only did they take the best part of his kit but they also try to balance it out by making him slightly faster while aiming(like thats gonna do anything) and has a shorter cooldown. ive been playing for slinger for a long time and it took me 3 games slinger to start playing huntress for the first time in a long time. he was so fun and they just butchered him with one nerf.

Yeah he felt awful to play on the PTB. I already got his adept so I don’t have any interest on coming back to him.

He's genuinely frustrating to play, in a sluggish, cumbersome sort of a way. And it blows my mind that in the same update, they've removed that feeling from Plague and thus made her so, so much more enjoyable to play. None of the buffs given to Deathslinger matter, if he doesn't feel fluid to play. And don't get me wrong, I understand the argument of him not being able to play against before, but that's a design issue more so than anything. You have a Killer that needs to deadlift his extremely heavy gun, land a shot, pull you, hit you, clean his gun, reload, catch up, shoot you and drag you to him again and then carry you to a hook, all with a beautiful 110% speed and 32 terror radius, he's done.

You only forgot to say deathslinger cant quickscope anymore and that what made him strong in my opinion

That was the only thing he had going for him. Sure, the low Terror Radius helped, but it wasn't what actually made him viable to some degree.

I am tracking back in my previous posts about quitting Deathslinger. I am still playing him because I just can't let go of my boy who I've been maining for over a year now, but yes... he is a frustrating experience to play as.

I'm happy if I can get 4-5 hooks now per match and call it a day, but I will still daydream of the time where I could get 2 kills without try-harding. I am also frustrated with the fact I must run Monitor & Abuse to be able to get hits because otherwise is hopeless to even try to reach for Survivors who will have more than enough time to run to the closest loop as soon as they hear a faint terror radius.

They definitely went out of their way to lower an already low tier Killer and make him another painful experience to even remotely touch. The best part out of all of this is the fact I keep getting a consistent DC in every single match despite the nerf. I guess full-time Survivor mains aren't happy with anything until it's nerfed to the ground.

Completely agree. It surprises me that they didn't just rework him. Any Killer that has a SLUGGISH FEELING to anything in their movement just feels terrible to play as. The survivors can do all this fast 360 unrealistic movement to throw Killers forced perspective off, but as soon as the Killer can do something too fast like "aim a gun and shoot" it has to be hit...

That is something that the dev team needs to really work on. THE FEEL of the Killers. Trickster is a perfect example. He feels amazing to play as, but I can say with upmost certainty that Deathslinger feels like complete doggy dump to play as now. That slow aiming has a HORRIBLE feeling to it. Keep ruining the Killers and you'll keep ruining the game.

They took away his quick scope because that was 'unfair' for casuals, yet the casuals are the ones who even after the nerf are putting themselves in positions where he can quickly shoot them or option select them at a window. This is about creating more counterplay for people who don't even know how to use it, thereby ruining a killer at high level for no reason.
