BOON: COH is easy
I honestly dont understand what the fuss is about COH being OP. I played 3 games as killer and still 4k each game with multiple survivors having COH. Just FYI, I dont play killer, and I still 4k with this supposed god tier perk. Even as a survivor the perk isnt OP because killers still very easily can get 3k - 4k. I swear any new thing that releases is immediatly called OP if somebody doesnt like it. Boon: COH is fine the way it is.

Just people overreacting, as usual

It's going to be a very annoying perk to play around against strong, coordinated teams, and there'll be some totem spots that just won't be worth snuffing, but it's hardly game-breaking.
3 -
It can be strong but it's not OP. I'm just glad to see a meta changing perk on the survivor side.
7 -
If you don't play killer at all then that means your MMR is like 1200 or whatever the starting is and you're going against literal babies.
18 -
Im a good survivor and killers still can easily get kills with it even eith a good survivor team. The perk isnt OP.

That's cool you're a good survivor but your killer MMR if you do not play killer is nothing, and you are being matched with low skill survivors. The people complaining are likely at high MMR, which you are not. So it's very skewed to present your experience as the norm when we could easily just assume you 4king over and over at bottom MMR is because you aren't brand new to the game like the survivors you are probably being matched with. I'm not even trying to say you are bad or something. I'm saying the MMR system is matching you against brand new people (if working right) and not the 4 man SWF squads you generally see people complain about. Your anecdote is flawed because one can safely assume you aren't facing the same type of players as high MMR killers are.

That perk is going to get nerfed wether people like it or not..

Yeah thats probably true.

facts bruh

Oh now doubt about that, I just dont understand why everybody is saying its OP. Yes the perks is very good but its not OP.

I promise you that perk will get nerfed as soon as Lerys gets re enabled next patch.

Another "I don't play killer but I 4k every game so I'm the arbiter of fairness and balance" post.
If you don't play killer but 4k as you said, your MMR is too low to have a true opinion on it.

And it still won't be enough to satisfy people until it's rendered utterly useless and then everyone can all go back to complaining about the DS, DH,BT meta lol.

This. Let us know how things go when you get to high MMR…

Just because you kill survivors with strong perks doesn't mean the perks aren't strong

Vids please. I've watched a few streams and even the best killers in the world are getting rocked by SWFs that play around COH. By the time they reacquire a survivor after a hit, they've already healed up and it's legitimately the wrong move to try and cleanse them, assuming that boon can even be snuffed.
Not to mention the fact that, if you didn't play killer, you'd have the starting MMR of a total beginner while still having a lot of experience at the game. Of course you are going to rock absolute newcomers.
Not saying that you are lying, but I am saying that I'm...skeptical.
Especially when you say things like:
In the words of the immortal Christopher Hitchens: 'That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence'.
Record a game or two for us and pop them up on YouTube. Very curious to take a look. Make sure to show your available perks (to demonstrate that you actually don't play killer) and the perks of survivors at the end (to demonstrate they aren't complete newbies).
No, it's pretty OP.
The issue is that boons, as is, are just not a good idea. A 4man group can send one person (with a specific perk to help them) to focus on taking out hexes, and once the hex is gone, it's gone for good. In the meantime, the other 3 can do gens, distract the killer etc.
The killer is already time starved, and the time spent trying to find and snuff one of these is probably enough time for the survivors to do a gen, or worse - partially complete several to deny a 3gen. And of course, by then, they've popped another one up near the current gens and you get to do it all over again.
It's silly, because boons are either going to have to have a set duration or are going to be nerfed to the point of being a gimmick. They had potential, but - forget 'meta' - they just don't fit with how the game works mechanically.

The same killers that are complaining about COH are complaining about survivors using the same perks every match. Imagine removing a meta perk to "simply heal" and then complaining about it.
2 -
Might I just say that I've been using the perk, solo, and still, my teammates don't use it's effects when ideal? Why do you want me to heal you at hook when you can run to the boon area and heal yourself? Ridiculous.

It's the new self-care (in more ways than one) It takes too much survivor time planting these things only to have them snuffed out in seconds. That's 14 seconds on a gen down the drain. And if you get interrupted blessing a hex you REALLY waste a crazy amount of time for no pay off.
0 -
Boons should be permanently removed once snuffed once, like Hexes
1 -
Both. If the killer snuffs out a Boon on a Dull totem, the Boon perk is permanently disabled. If the Boon is cleared on a totem that had a Hex, the Hex comes back
1 -
You should not bless a hex unless the killer is on the other side of the map. If 2 person heal in a boon area you already paid gainning time vs the time it took you to bless the totem.
You say it take 2 sec for the killer to snuff the totem out but the killer cant send 1/4 of himself to go and snuff the totem he need to personally go there and while he waste all that time looking for the totem the survivor can just bless another totem its not like the perk is destroy

fair

I wont cuz I dont play killer
0 -
This is where they messed up. If this happens, which I completely agree with if they aren't removed altogether but if you remove it once its blessed it keeps other survivors from blessing it if they bring in the perk, and then there will be complaints of that.
0 -
I doubt it. It doesn't need one just because some people are crying for no reason.
1 -
Now go play high Mmr with this,

Boons are okay and I don't think any boons will be getting nerfed anytime soon since the devs seem happy with how they turned out (as they should good job) and hopefully the next survivor gets two boon perks so we go full boon builds
0 -
Well there should only be one Boon per type per team (1 shadowstep, 1 CoH) anyways
