soul guard works off boons?

just had a match where i didn't bring any hexes and a survivor picked themselves up with soul guard, i don't remember if they had been affected by some boon, but is this intended?

    Are you sure it was Soul Guard and not something else like Unbreakable? Soul Guard only allows a player to stand up while under the Cursed condition which only Hexes do, not Boons. (Unless there’s a bug of course.)

    If they didn't have some other way to get up like that like Unbreakable, No Mither or more unusual ones like someone sneaking a syringe into them when you didn't look that's a bug.

    Soul Guard works when you're Cursed, which Hex totems do. But wouldn't be too much of a shock if having any totem status effect active for some wacky reason activates the self-recovery part of the perk, boons are an entirely new mechanic and just like unsnuffable boon totems were quickly discovered to be a thing there's probably gonna be more weird interactions with them in the game.
