Question about "Modifying save your file"
So steam allows you to backup your save files of games...
So my question is... does perma bans also apply to situations where someone will upload his older save file? (if that even works).
I mean for example if someone lost a whole progress (reset everything because of bug) and then if that person has a backup of older save, can that person use it or does is it prohibited?
Just curious :D I am not even sure if you can easily just upload your older save file since if I am not mistaken it is cloud saved nowdays anyway.
Note: I have of course read the game rules on forums but there is not mentioned such thing like "your own backups of saves".

You contact support with proof and give them the backup. That way you won't get banned.

That might be safer way to do it. But I wouldn't be so sure unless you know personaly or from someone that this is how it should be done. Because from what I know support only give bloodpoints to your account and not uploading your previous save files.
But in that case the answer for that question would be "You can't do it on your own" which the game rules doesn't mention (only if it someone else save file).

I think backup file evaporation itself is already a problem. The data files are saved by the developer, but the problem is that the data files are not saved and initialized properly. Restoration and backup seem fine.

Aha I just read from older posts that since 2018 they use cloud saves so from that point your save data are no longer stored at your PC machine. So even if you wanted to do it, you can't anyway.

There's a semi-well-known case where someone had support restore their save and was almost immediately banned for modifying their save file. As far as I know, they never got their account back, despite this being a pretty obvious case of one support agent not telling the other support agents what he/she had done.
Honestly, stay away from both unless you have no other option.
