Do you think this disconnect vote mechanic should be in the game?
When someone disconnects, a vote will appear for 10 seconds. (If someone disconnects during a vote, it will just reset.)
All votes will start with a checkmark, until changed by the player.
The emote buttons will be used to vote, but you won't emote until the voting has come to a close. (So you don't stop in place.)
If checkmarks win, the game keeps going.
If X's win, the game will end and everyone get's their bloodpoints, and MMR doesn't change.
If tied, then the game keeps going.
So what do you think?
Do you think this disconnect vote mechanic should be in the game? 26 votes

I think it should be a thing.
r6 siege has this mechanic. I think that the ability to rejoin left matches would be a nice component.
In siege here is what happens:
Person DCs
DC'rs team has the oppuritunity to end the match, not losing any ELO, but since the match ends, the DCr gets a penalty.
But a vote to end the match would be a good (ish) idea. Would need some tweaks to prevent a SWF from just having someone leave and the other 3 keep MMR in a losing game, though.
I think the killer would need 2 votes, so they can't be overruled as well.

It sounds like a good idea, but it also might increase queue times even more.

This would be cool to see, but at the same time I could see it being bad.
For example (I know this example is niche but roll with it):
4 person swf sees they're going against a Bubba and they don't like Bubba
1 person dc's and they all vote to leave
Now it's just punishment because someone wanted to play the killer they wanted to play

I think it would be good if there were some way to cancel the match without penalty when somebody DCs early on. But, like @ChurchofPig said, I can see issues with trolly SWF. In addition to the issue where they all ditch the match in the first 30 seconds, there's a chance that they could wait until the killer's about to win and then one of them could DC and the other three could vote to quit to stop the killer from getting their kills / MMR / extra points / challenge / achievement, etc.
So, I think a straight-up majority vote might not be the way -- or maybe a four-stake SWF just doesn't get to vote.

Minor technical point but killers don’t have an emote button on PC. Or do they not get a vote?

I think it should be a thing.
The killer would have an incentive to vote for continuing in a match where they have the advantage.

I DON'T think it should be a thing.
I would only be okay with this if the entire party of the one that DC is punished. If not this just rewards one person from a SWF DCing when things go wrong and everyone else gets out for free.
