Why do you care about your MMR as killer?
I'm not attacking anyone that wants to be high mmr. I'm just genuinely asking why it matters to you.
There's no reward. No incentive. No bonus. No leaderboard recognition. Nothing.
So why does it matter to you?
If your answer is strictly that you enjoy knowing you're a "high skill high mmr player" then alright, that's fair. But if you are stressing to reach that point, is it actually fun? Do you honestly enjoy being stressed? Are you enjoying yourself? Is the game still a game at that point, or has it become a job?
Again, it's totally ok if you want to be a high mmr player. There's nothing wrong with that and I don't meant any aggression or negativity about it, I'm just curious because it seems like the majority of people who want it, also hate playing at it.
As a fellow killer main who admittedly also stresses about winning and wants to stay at higher skill levels, I don't understand. I am asking you, just as much as I'm asking myself.
Edit : if you don't care, this discussion is not for you.

I’d care if I knew where I stood. Simple as. And give me rewards, grades aren’t anything. Woohoo I played just enough this month! Not too exciting IMO

I don't.
I'd rather have a thrilling game or have some clever plays/players than 4k every game. : /

I don’t care about my MMR, it is what it is. I’d be curious to see my skill bracket compared to my opponentks brackets I guess just to see if I was up against somebody way better or worse, but it’s not that bit a deal. 🤷♂️

This discussion is not for any of you then. Simple as that. Lol?

Its quite the quagmire. They complain about high MMR while insisting on getting kills that only bring stronger survivors.

I've not heard of a single Killer main that would desire high MMR, outside of testing its limit and the imbalance it brings.

The problem is it’s tied to kills, which is the point of playing killer.
If anything I imagine most of us would prefer lower MMR and easier games, however that comes at the cost of not killing anyone (your objective) and watching all 4 run out the gates thinking they styled on you.
Killer isn’t satisfying to hit and watch them get away, or to watch them unhooked and get out the gate - the kill is the reward and that unfortunately increases MMR meaning harder games for absolutely no reward or benefit.
If they showed our MMR rating then I can imagine a lot of us would be trying to raise that number as a personal game goal

I care about my MMR on Freddy because sometimes you want to experience the true DBD and remember where you came from.

Because I want good, balanced matches at the level I play at.
It's almost as unfun to farm a team of potatoes as it is to be steamrolled by a pack of sweaty SWFs.

I don't care whether my MMR is high or low. But losing for me is 100% a bad time. High MMR DBD sucks, plain and simple. It's really not fun for killer and I don't think most survivors enjoy it either. I enjoy winning, but I do not enjoy going against 4 man swf meta squads or hackers which plague high mmr and which you will get to if you are winning as killer.

I don't. I just play like I always have and MMR can put me wherever it wants to.
Dunno if it's my playstyle, skill, mindset or something else but I honestly don't dislike MMR. Still get very varied matches and match quality, but the good matches are slightly more common and better than pre-MMR. Do keep in mind that a lot of people would probably consider the "good matches" I'm talking about sweaty hellscapes, so YMMV and all that.
