Why do you care about your MMR as killer?

I'm not attacking anyone that wants to be high mmr. I'm just genuinely asking why it matters to you.

There's no reward. No incentive. No bonus. No leaderboard recognition. Nothing.

So why does it matter to you?

If your answer is strictly that you enjoy knowing you're a "high skill high mmr player" then alright, that's fair. But if you are stressing to reach that point, is it actually fun? Do you honestly enjoy being stressed? Are you enjoying yourself? Is the game still a game at that point, or has it become a job?

Again, it's totally ok if you want to be a high mmr player. There's nothing wrong with that and I don't meant any aggression or negativity about it, I'm just curious because it seems like the majority of people who want it, also hate playing at it.

As a fellow killer main who admittedly also stresses about winning and wants to stay at higher skill levels, I don't understand. I am asking you, just as much as I'm asking myself.

Edit : if you don't care, this discussion is not for you.
