So Uh, What is Up with Pallet Spawns on Meat Plant?
Honestly. First time playing on the map since it has been re-enabled and I went through a solid thirty pallets. Everywhere a pallet could spawn, it did. It felt like there was way too many. Pallet spawns broken on this map?
and no it wasn't just me. Every other map I've noticed caps at about 20. This time there was way more than that

Obviously the pallets migrated from the cold outdoors of gas heaven, to the nice and cozy warmth of the meat plant. Don't blame the devs, blame the changing of seasons. /S

The thing is, The Game has potential to become a fun map, just remove some breakable walls and pallets and it'll be more enjoyable.

This just goes to show how clueless BHVR really are.
It's Gideon's MEAT plant not Gideon's PALLET plant
Jokes aside, They could probably remove a decent chunk of pallets and the map would still have plenty to work with. It just needs less pallets and a few more windows to play around then it's mostly fine if you ask me.

This would be the ideal Rework - less safe Pallets and more Windows. However, this did not happen with the graphical Update, so I doubt it will ever happen. The Game was always one of the most boring Maps in the game, as Survivor you just run around safe Pallets (which every donkey can do) and as Killer you just follow a Survivor while destroying dropped Pallets. Interesting games with Windows are not possible for either side.
However, what they could do - remove all breakable Walls and the Pallets they added to compensate for them. There are so many Pallets because some of them are not useable, because they are Deadends due to breakable Walls. So unless the Wall is broken (which will never happen) or the respective Gen is done, those Pallets are useless, so they added more to compensate for that.
And IMO, The Game is clearly a Map which does not need any breakable Wall.

Yeah honestly if I was the big map designer dude/dudette I'd probably:
- Remove the guaranteed pallet that spawns in the big machine drop down to make that window a risk/reward
- Add more windows/filler tiles upstairs. Currently only jungle gyms/L Wall T wall tiles can spawn downstairs
- Make only 1 pallet spawn in the surveillance room, it can be one or the other making the room less of a massive time stink for killer
- Leave the 2 pallets by the basement, while they're annoying I think if the basements location is fixed I think those pallets should stay too
- Limit the amount of those god pallets that completely block the killers path
- Make the hook spawns better, they are terrible overalll
- Leave some breakable walls only for the gen doors. The whole deadend thing is part of the maps gimmick and I think its mostly okay.
- Less pallets overall

Agreed. Breakable walls are pretty annoying. I've never had the issue with the pallets until just now though. Maybe an error when they were fixing it?

I like these changes. Definitely is way too many safe pallets on this map. I was playing Freddy and despite by best efforts to pressure gens, every time I tried to chase thinking it would be a quick down they managed to find at least 3-5 more pallets, 80 percent of which were safe with no counterplay for me.

One of the devs said that the amount of pallets on reworked Gideon is actually bugged. But that was long time ago.
Btw the record pallets on gideon is 34 so far, try to count them next time maybe you get more

I wouldn't be surprised if devs revert pallet spawns to how they were.
With few changes, I hope there were new window vaults on upstairs.

Gideon has always had a crazy amount of pallets since it's rework. Some pallets and breakable walls need to be removed to make it more enjoyable to play on.

I'm pretty sure its because there are only like 4 windows in the whole map, and 2 of them are unsafe
- Window at the exit
- Window in the fridge room
- 2 windows in the 1 TL spawn in the map.

The map sucks and will probably take years to be changed because the Devs are lazy. Simple as that.
