Low Rank Survivor Suicides?
Around rank 16ish I have had like 5 games in a row where 1 or 2 of my survivor teammates disconnect upon being downed or kill themselves on the hook. What's going on? This has been happening to me for a few days now!

New players, Balance the worst in the game at the low ranks. Killer is brain dead easy down there and the survivors haven't figured out what to do to survive efficiently yet. Coupled with this event which makes it even harder for them or they were farming vials. They probably feel disheartened or just weren't having fun.

Thats how it is in any game and I have no idea why we have no strict DC punishments

I mean i honestly believe that less people are playing survivor now and more (especially new players) are playing killer. I personally feel that Imposing strict DC, AFK bans on survivors at this point would alienate even more of the survivor community.
I think a better way to solve the problem would be to entice survivors to try more. Decrease M1 time or find a way to make the game more fun for them. Easier said than done though.

The risk vs reward portion is also way riskier for survivors than killers. It's significantly easier to get BP as killer imo. End up losing more if your bring some good addons if the rest of the team feels like throwing

That's probably it... I just thought it was a wave of new players that didn't know attempting to escape = death.

That's probably it... I just thought it was a wave of new players that didn't know attempting to escape = death.
it should go back to normal once it ends but if say no one used a event offering and the cankers were already extracted some just DC or kill themselves with the killer. and if you know you cant get anymore or are full you just kill ...... yourself (aparentley Kill ......... yourself without the dots in between is a bad word). most people believe if they are downed first then all the cankers will be gone so its not worth to stay alive.

No, both sides get approximately the same amount per hour. Survivors can also get free item's + addons or at least keep them, unlike the killer who loses everything, even if he wins.1 -

Not sure about 16 but rank 15 it's almost every game.
I mean disconnects are common in the game anyway. But in higher ranks there's something to lose (your rank), once you get to rank 15 you can't go any lower so almost every game will have a disconnect. Plus there's the fact that due to chronic disconnects getting no pips theres so many of them hovering around rank 15.
It's the best reason for ranking up. Disconnrcts become a bit less common.0 -

Edit: On a grey rank profile, either noone is coming or they're going to unhook you right in front of the killer. So, I'll die in peace, thanks.

Yeah, this is bullshit and you should feel bad about it.
Don't always assume that the reason people aren't getting you is because they're selfish. We could know the killer is close by, we could be seconds away from completing a generator, etc. It's also hypocritical because the logic you're using is "If I'm going to die, they're going to die" which is beyond selfish.
