Snuffing should destroy the totem
Doing this over and over im seeing everyday now seems like it's just getting worse, people don't even run Shadow boon all i see is Healing Circle. The range nerf IMO doesn't really matter anymore, these things are supposed to be powerful like hex's, you can't make boons global ever, killer is 1 person. So Hex's are what killers have, now we have someone on the other side whos able to not only get rid of it permanently but can just spam their own benefit into it as long as the killers preoccupied.
How much do the devs expect us to be able to do against 4 people running her perks??? This is where i just come back to if the killer could take more time to snuff and the totem would be gone, it would make the boons so much more balanced. Lessen the chime noise until you get closer.
The state it's in right now generally puts some killers on the bench until a patch lol

I mean what can you do when you can't track people rushing objectives, and that heal at a moments notice cuz of 3-4 different boon locations

Alternatively, just put a hard count on how many times you can bless a totem.

Why do that when the totem would make it so no party could use that spot again, like pallets and so on

Theres plenty of ways to balance boons, but betwen moaning survivors who swear they are perfectly fine and balanced and you are just "salty" or a noob killer, or BHVR adamant they are perfect, but jabs aside theres a lot of options:
Destroy the totem alongside the boon, BAM, they cant still apply it to another totem, its just that they now have to actually search for one and bless it, wich will also make it a true "waste" of time as many claim blessing the totems are.
Limited amount of uses per trial, 4 uses per boon seems more than fair, they can re apply it on the same place but it wil lbe a precious resource that would also need some brain power to take a tactical desicion.
Cooldown. Having the boon enter a cooldown after its applied would be another good option, they will be able to use it again but it will be again a tactical desicion, not just have someone run the killer for a bit and reapply. 90/80/70 seconds based on rarity sounds more than fair.
Any of this would actually make them far more balanced that the actual way they work

Yeah that's what i suggested is that the totem get's destroyed it pretty much solves problems
